I actually own an Sensation XE which i bought for a small fortune recently as it is unsubsidized but now i feel sad as Nexus Prime has a HD i.e 1270*720 screen.
I am mostly in agreement with your statement but i feel if nuclear pioneers like US and Russia lead the way in true disarmament, the rest of us will follow you.
My nation maintains a nuclear deterrent as we have ideologically volatile and unpredictable nuclear armed neighbors on both sides (guess who) but nothing will give me more relief than the day when all these doomsday devices end up in hell and we can concentrate on more important problems like faltering economies and global hunger and poverty.
The gist of the agreement was that once the military bullies of the world stacked their basements full of nuclear weapons , they suddenly developed a conscience and outlawed further proliferation.
All that is well and good but the self appointed guardians of the world felt it was their god given right to hold onto their weapons ( The so called structured disarmament by Russia and USA is an insult to our intelligence)
"Cars 'cause accidents' in the same way that cigarette's 'cause cancer'. Should every can of beer instead of a company logo have a picture of a distended liver, and a vomiting, nose-bleeding alcoholic dead in the gutter? Should lawn mowers be covered with images of severed fingers, toes, and feet? Why not? Accidents happen every year because of them and they are hazardous. Should televisions come with images of milky-eyed blind people on the box?"
Car , lawnmovers etc cause harm if you / persons around you use them wrongly as in an accident. Cigarette smoking cause lung cancer , emphysema , bronchietasis , oral cancer etc even if you do it as perfectly as the models in cigarette ads i.e it makes you sick even if you smoke in the way it was intended to.
There is a fundamental difference to adding nutritional info on a food product and the hazard signs on a cigarette as you can counteract the effects of gluttony by exercise/healthy lifestyle modification but the only cure for cigarette realated illnesses is cessation.
If anyone lives in Dubai , i suggest you submit a picture of Sheik Zayed road from Dubai Marina. That landscape looks even more futuristic and crazy with the Burj Khalifa piercing the sky among other supertall skyscrapers on a foggy day .
I regret to this day that i wasn't carrying a camera or a camera phone when i visited there.
The last time i heard , having a lot of choice is a win win situation for consumers. e.g i would not mind a slightly thicker ultrabook option with dedicated graphics and a bigger battery (even if they cant officially call it an ultrabook , it will a welcome change from the present day gargantuan gaming laptops)
Did you you really call me' ignorant' based on one post and generalized all your opposers as "you people" and you have a star???
'We people' think there maybe lots of technical issues in this fight between giant mega corps who dont give a crap about you or me so who wins is irrelevant. I own an iPhone 3GS and my friends owns a Galaxy S and we have never felt that our phones are alike in anyway. Both these phones were expensive flagships of their brands and the powerusers who buy them most certainly can differentiate between iPhone and Samsung so that 'S' issue is irrelevant
Are you also aware that Samsung Galaxy S has had more sales and more brand value than the iPhone 3GS in Most of asia and europe .
If you wanna go down that road , Nvidia had lots of video cards ending with "GS" e.g 7900GS so apple probably copied from them .
If you have seen both the Galaxy S and iPhone 3GS in person , you will realize that these photos are misleading as they both very different looking phones with very distinctive back and side designs. There is only so much you can with a black rectangular slab with buttons below the screen on the front. Claiming plagiarism over such a basic simplistic design is like trying to patent the shape of a slab of rock.
Even the older 4th generation fighters like F-16s were were designed mainly for air superiority as the age of dog fighting ended in the 60s. Cruise missiles/UAVs are much more cheaper and safer for attack of land based targets in my opinion and due to their small size and lower complexity , i guess it easier to make them stealthy by reducing their radar signature.
If the course to design and build a new fighter is so long and complicated then i guess it is right to start the design process now. I felt it is too early as 5th gen fighters such as the PAK-FA ( or FGFA as its called here in India ) and China's Chengdu - J20 are barely in the early prototype or testing phase . I also feel that the future of air combat lies more in UAVs / cruise missiles and by 2030-40 , guidance systems will be be more reliable and advanced to make manned fighters impractical in my honest opinion. Anyway i suppose all this very speculative right now.
As a neutral outsider i feel USA does not need a new fighter jet for the next two decades. F-22 and F-35 are still leagues ahead of what potentially hostile countries have or will procure anytime in the near future. If your government devotes some more funds to NASA and other cutting edge research organizations, you will do well to advance humanity in your role as a leading nation of the world
Do not take several ibuprofen. It causes acidity and messes up your stomach and causes long term damage on regular use. Drink lots of water AND electrolyte solutions like Gatorade and one tylenol at most. I also suggest Digene or an antacid tablet and coffee is preferable over red bull ( taurine has potential side effects) in the morning.
The world exists beyond USA.Here in South India , the average temp from March to September is around 100 degrees and it hits 115-120 degrees on several days. And guess what,95% of the population does not own ACs and probably 40% do not even have access to fans but life goes on as usual in one of the most densely populated parts of the world.
Humans are a lot hardier than you think. Privileged living makes us feel weak.
Why is it being dismissed as a bad tablet already without a review unit. From what i have seen in their website ,the specs show it as the most powerful Android annouced till now at a most affordable price point and it has an almost universal codec support. It comes in both HDD and SSD versions. I need all the space i can get for my media as i prefer local storage and whoever streams a lot can get an SSD version .Everyone wins!
p.s Tegra 2 tablet can't decode High profile encoded HD videos even at 720p i.e almost 90% of downloadable HD videos on the internet.I wonder why no one brings this up.
I live in India.I pay $30 for 15Mbps download / 15Mbps upload.Though its an unlimited package , i have a bandwidth cap of 75GB/month beyond which the speed is limited to 4Mbps. For a developing country , i feel its a very good deal.
