people in 'third world' countries are, in many ways, ahead of us in adopting such technology (particularly solar).
It sounds funny, and you'd think that the prices would be prohibitive, but listening and talking to coworkers from Kenya and such areas, it seems that for various reasons (lower power consumption, possible price gouging in the US), solar is MORE widespread in such areas than it is in the US, a 'first world' country."
