My comment is a comment, like the big, white letters say above.

bdkennedy1 commented on Overheard at CES: Lost Blackberry Could you stop with these, please? They aren't funny, don't make sense and you're not even spelling things correctly. Are you guys exhausted or something?

bdkennedy1 commented on Sharp Aquos Net: Widget TV This is a very cool idea, but adds to the disposability of the TV. When Sharp ends support for the TV, I'm sure the widgets will be disposed of also. What will happen in 5-10 years when ethernet connections are gone?

bdkennedy1 commented I have to say, unbelievably, that I would buy that rather than an iPhone. But a lot can change in a year.

bdkennedy1 commented on So What the $*@% Is Aquos Net? Hurray! TV viruses! It's pretty sad that their TV's are so complicated they had to create a whole new way of contacting technical support. Basically, if you want excellent customer support from them, you're going to pay extra.

bdkennedy1 commented on Logitech Harmony One IR Remote Is Easy-Grip Capacitive-Touch Couch Buddy This is just a gimmick for people that have nothing better to spend their money on. There are remotes for $199 that can do everything this one does, and remotes for under $50 that can do almost everything.

I bought a Sony remote without a touch screen for under $30 that learns signals from other remotes and has macro ability. I had bought a touch-screen Sony in the past but was sick of having to look down at it every time I wanted to push a button.

bdkennedy1 commented on D-Link DPG-1200 PC-on-TV Player Brings Lousy Amateur YouTube Video to Your TV Let me tell you with first-hand experience with an Apple TV that you do NOT want to watch YouTube on your TV. Using an on-screen keyboard to hunt and peck what you're searching for is like teaching George Bush to say "nuclear" correctly.

bdkennedy1 commented on HD DVD Press Conferences Cancelled After Warner Defects to Blu-ray The format war IS over. There are no major studios left solely on the HD DVD side and it is now BetaMax.

HD DVD will probably survive as a data format for computers, but if you buy an HD DVD movie now, you've just wasted your money. THIS is why I would not buy either format and stuck with DVD. The sheer surprise by the HD DVD group that Warner has pulled out shows that they do not have a backup plan to retaliate.

bdkennedy1 commented on Mulholland Dr. Director David Lynch F*cking Hates People Who Watch Movies on the iPhone It's not like people are using their iPods as the sole source of their video-watching entertainment. The only time I would use my iPod to watch a movie is when portability is an issue... like at the airport, doctors office or a hotel room.

bdkennedy1 commented on Apple Files Patent for OLED Dynamic Keyboard, Awaits Angry Letter from Lebedev? If Lebedev doesn't have a patent then they may as well pack up and move on. If anyone can make a keyboard like this affordable, it's Apple.

And frankly, good riddance to Lebedev anyway. I've never seen a company take so long getting a product from hype to a shipping product.

bdkennedy1 commented on Blockbuster Online Members Socked With Christmas Price Hike I'm waiting to see if Blockbuster actually raises their prices that much before I cancel. I can't justify giving my money to a price increase like that. If I have to I'll by what I want used on eBay and Amazon and resell what I don't want.

bdkennedy1 commented on Blockbuster Online Members Socked With Christmas Price Hike Netflix sucks ass and here's why.

2 years ago Netflix kept sending me broken DVD's. And it wasn't just occasionally random, it was often. A couple times I received a title I wanted, broken several times. I had ordered a disc from the Looney Tunes Golden Collection. I received the disc broken, 8 times in a row. That's right. 8 times. I even sent the 7th broken disc to the CEO of Netflix, with no reply.

I couldn't even fathom how the same exact title could arrive at my house broken 8 times, so I figured they weren't even checking the disc and just sending it back out to me. Or, for some reason they were breaking the disc on purpose to throttle me. Whatever conspiracy you want. They told me it was the post office. I told Netflix, that unless the Post Office has X-Ray vision, how do they know which title to break 8 times in a row? I was paying for 3 discs at a time, but with all the broken discs, it only turned out to be 2 discs at a time, and demanded a refund of the difference. I got so tired of doing this, I switched to Blockbuster.

In the one year I've had Blockbuster, I've only received one broken disc. Hmmmm. Now either the post office hates Netflix and likes Blockbuster, or Netflix employees are as incompetent as McDonald's employees.

bdkennedy1 commented on Former Apple Designer Creates Sound Machine iPhone Dock We should totally judge him based on what he did back then. It was his JOB for 7 years. He's contributed to the reason Apple almost flushed themselves.

You can't factor modern technology into his lack of good design back then. The TI-99 was a really nice looking computer and it was designed almost 10 years before anything he made.

We got beige boxes because Apple was cheap back then. They charged way too much for too little.

Second, who is going to believe this will be a feature in the next version of Windows. Microsoft still has all the stuff they pulled out of Vista to work on.

bdkennedy1 commented on CompUSA Throws in the Towel, Sells to a Liquidator Here in Dallas, there was a Best Buy literally right next door to a CompUSA. If I wanted to buy something, I would always check out the prices first at CompUSA and then walk next door to Best Buy and find it there for $10 cheaper.

Just about any employee I would talk to at CompUSA, if could find any available at all, I would ask a question and you could hear circus music come out of their mouth.

One time I couldn't find an employee to help me and had to walk into their lunchroom to get one.

bdkennedy1 commented on CompUSA Throws in the Towel, Sells to a Liquidator YAYYYYYY!!!!! The dumbasses running the company finally drove it into the ground like I predicted over 10 years ago!

My friend Joe worked there since they opened as Soft Warehouse in 1985 up until a 2003. I would always hear stories about management that would just leave me saying, "What a bunch of dumbasses". If he were alive today, I'm sure he would have liked to have seen its downfall.
