@EBone: Cool, I did GIS and cartography in university as well. However I only learned "new age" methodology, not with ink and mylar. Although it would be cool to find somewhere and pick up those skills for fun.

I have something close to that setup (40D and 70-200 f2.8L) and that thing is not light. you'll need to tighten your belt so much just to hold up your pants that it'll prevent you from having kids.
so how is this any diff than the Bold??
@jackfrost132: no no.. Computer Aided Design.
I gotta give it to Canon on this one. I think it edges out due to higher MP count. Although to those interested in buying their first SLR, I highly encourage going up to the 50D. It's a much better body and it will last you a much longer time. The Rebel series cameras will feel like a toy after you handle a 50D and above.

don't phone jack my dongle you cookie
@Hvedhrungr: By your comment, I assume you do not own a SLR. It's like driving a Kia or a Mercdes Benz. There's a huge difference.
I had a cell phone since i was 15..... and that was in 1995.
@John Nahajski: that would just make you look like a dunce and $65 lighter.
