Yeah, right. Oh, and that Walmart isn't even in Nampa, but the crappy town next door can't even get a shout out to save its life.

@JDickson87: Move controllers aren't just the ball. They have accelerometers, gyros, and compasses as well.
For those that believe that computing is only ever about the hardware.
Hunter? Dr. Gonzo? Is that you?
Another amazing book on film sound, by one of the greatest film editors (Lucas' buddy Walter Murch; the only reason he didn't do Star Wars is that he was busy on Apocalypse Now):

I've traveled a fair bit, and Lyon is my favorite city.

Seriously, people who go to Paris are seeing the worst of France.
@Celtic1888: Unbelievably fun game. Wasn't matched until Severance / Blade of Darkness.
@giantnerd: There is no spacial 'edge' to the universe. If you were to go fast enough / see far enough, you would begin to look 'into' the Big Bang itself. To reach some 'edge' of space, we would need to move through another dimension, much as the 'edge' of the earth can't be found on its surface, but rather in going 'up' (per mikeness' post below).
Well, he's already got Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman in his dead actor stable, why not add a few more? *rimshot*
In the dark ages of Microsoft, pre-Windows NT and pre-optical storage, we supported our conferences by running around and installing Microsoft OS/2 as the server OS.

Swapping 14 floppies with a hard deadline is NO FUN.
Lots of people are saying that this is due to Apple's new focus on the cloud. People, "the cloud" isn't pixie dust and fairy beans. "The cloud" runs in racks. On 1U devices. Which Apple just dumped.

Obviously, Apple continues to move ever further away from server, enterprise, and open technologies. There is no great mystery here. It has become clear that Apple wants a closed, consumer ecosystem-- to maximize profits-- and the only people who are confused are the OS X apologists.

I guess the only question I have now is why they would so clearly want to move away from the entertainment content-creation industry.
If the EFF gets a cut then I'm good.
It wouldn't matter if I was in China or San Francisco: having an iOS device as my only travel computer would be a living hell.

Doing so smacks of an "I can do this" attitude, without recognizing that iOS is simply the wrong tool if you are an online professional.
"...is that George Lucas is directly responsible for one of the things that has given me the greatest, most quantifiable joy..."

"The Empire Strikes Back", an Irvin Kershner film.
@ImSpartacus: Yeah, that's to be expected. There is a root for Droid 2/ Droid X 2.2 out there, but it didn't work for me, so I'm cooling my heels for a while.
@tbonesteak: Well, then ignore my post above, as it is strictly for Droid 2 / Droid X.

Oh, and also, it didn't work for me. Important to add that. *shrug*
@tbonesteak: Although, obviously, you lose root. Although you can re-root 2.2, I haven't tried it yet: [forum.xda-developers.com]
@tbonesteak: It wasn't a problem for me, I didn't even unroot it. Others state problems-- it may have to do with what you've done with root.

However, problems may be due to impatience-- the phone was on the Droid eye logo for a good 5 to 10 minutes at the first post-install reboot, while it built caches and whatnot. Just be patient with it.
I had a rooted 2.1 from 'easy root', and went for it, upgraded last night without unrooting.

The Droid X updated to 2.2 OTA with no problems at all, on the first try.

But, HUGE WARNING from the community: DO NOT DOWNGRADE TO 2.1 SBF from 2.2 OTA. That will brick the phone. There's no going back, apparently.
@JasonGW: We had some friends over for dinner last night, and we played the shit out of the Move. Frisbee Golf was pretty sweet, everyone had fun, and the system found another couple of buyers.

So you may be right, but I doubt it.
