I'm going to violate my cardinal law (assume nothing) and presume that the platter is actually glass and the screws are countersunk. Either that or this comes with a mat of some sort. There's no way they would make this thing with a plastic platter and round head screws poking out of its surface...would they?

Aside from that...I wonder how much the overhanging platter would throw off skratching. Pssssh, no one's buyin' this for skratching.

I need one of these for my MP3 jukebox that has USB, digital optical and RCA outs, but no DVI. I officially discovered this a day or two before I was to take it to a party, where I was planning to bring my 19" flatscreen monitor and desktop speakers to keep the whole rig upstairs instead of in the (finished) basement.

Why I hate cellphones, in case any of the aforementioned companies are reading this:

1. Horrible voice clarity. I can only assume you get what you pay for, but honestly.

2. Inconsistent reception. Figure out how to make cellular phone reception as solid as landline reception.

3. People constantly trying to interact with me while on their cellphone. It's RUDE, people. You might as well have a hand in my face. I believe the primary reason cellphone jammers are outlawed in the US is because someone somewhere realizes that they would be extremely popular extremely fast. And have you noticed how you haven't heard anything else about that signal-blocking paint?

Find solid fixes for all of these problems, and perhaps I'll buy one. And don't say you can do it, because if we can somehow keep a schmuck in the Oval Office for 8 years, anything is officially possible.
