is this article seriously or been sarcastic? this is the first time i've heard of them but her rapping was pretty darn good and entertaining, and the cover was way less obnoxious than the actual Look At Me Now video. how were they being related to racism? and were their performance really bad on SNL? They can't be worse than The Black Keys when they played on SNL last year, the drummer couldn't even keep the beat straight. im really confused, someone please explain the hate.

Like everyone already mentioned here, the difference between vanquish and other games of the same genre is that you'll find it easier if you are actually constantly moving instead of dodging behind cover.
Slide to cover, cause some damage, move your ass right away to the next one and on the way there engage slow mo to deal some serious damage then disengage to cool down when arriving at the 2nd cover, etc etc. Some of the later bosses are pretty tough and NOT hiding is the only way to survive. You'll get used to it ;)
Indeed please please please! Vanquish is the only game i don't care about the incoherent story because its so much fun. would also like to see a higher res version without impacting the fps since the environments were so beautifully done.
Its very rude to generalize/stereotype an entire nation and culture like that. If you dig deeper into the issue, this is the fault of their government which by imposing too much censorship completely murdered creativity, especially on Scifi/fantasy related stories.
No great civilization can rise without some form of blunt and shameless copying. And it really couldn't be generalized, did you know Thomas Edison made hundreds of copies of the famous movie "The Trip to the Moon", which was a french movie, and showed it in new york and gave no compensation to the original producer? Even in the land of free and one of the most influential inventors of the world can still shamelessly copy, not part, but the entire finished product of another man. And what he did completely bankrupt the original producer of the film.
Granted, this has been happening way too often in China, and from our point of view this is not natural. But not because chinese people are not creative, just look at their art and literature. But the laws in china are not putting promoting or protecting creativity as a priority. Cheap labor give them(the government) a short cut to wealth, and by attracting manufacturings to their turf they could care less about promoting the people to be creative. Do you think that without the comprehensive laws that governs the intellectual right in the US that we wouldn't try to copy someone else because it's not right? If you are an American you should be glad that the chinese people have not rise as one and fucks their government in the ass, because when they do, they will definitely have wrap drive before the US ;)
We need to have a little more faith in humanity. I wish more people have heard of the christmas truce during world war 1 between the british and german soldiers, both basically started an unofficial ceasefire after a deadly trench war, without approval from high command, and celebrated christmas together, sang songs, exchanged gifts, and made friends. (unfortunately eventually got broken up when the general found out and told them to start killing again)
Stories like this gives me hope, especially it was under the circumstances of total war, i mean its kind of a WTF moment but it really happened (they even played football together...). While war is horrific and shitty things like this peeing video do happen, but we shouldn't give up on our humanity and say "oh this is war and this is normal and shit like this happens", but instead we should always try our best to held on to what makes us human, because we didn't come through thousands of years just to let ourselves go, and we didn't come through two world wars and the drop of nuclear weapons to forget what humanity means and how much it matters. I know its hard but at least try, do you really have to pee on them? I think people don't realize it but we can do better than that.

I had the chance to use the Sony NEX5N during recent vacation and it is an awesome camera. It feels very solid in hand, turns on very quick and I especially love its handheld twilight mode, which shoots 6 pictures in a row then merge them to counter blur, also the panoramic mode is the easiest i've used.
Compare to the regular point and shoot, this is such a big upgrade while retaining the same easy to use factor (its actually much easier to use than my Panasonic point and shoot). So for people who wants the ability to shoot very nice pictures in less desirable conditions or at night and doesn't want to carry or learn how to use DSLR, this is perfect.
I had Waze for a long time on my phone but never opend it, mostly because I didn't know it had turn by turn directions and more. Just started to use it this week and it's awesome, don't think i can live without it now, speed camera warning saved my ass many times. I haven't run into any server problems you mentioned, so maybe it was a problem when they launched?

how about fighting giant robots with a transformer gun that can morph into any weapon? :) They don't need to make sense in these kind of games, but the weapon need to feel right and sound right, and also when the gameplay is superb you won't pay too much attention to the nonsense, like this ridiculously awesome and silly 3rd person shooter called Vanquish.
I remember reading it somewhere about how extensive static buildup on the kindle could damage it, apparently caused by the rubber back casing rubbing against certain kindle covers/cases. Might have been a review on amazon, and the owner did receive a replacement. So the professor's explanation seems plausible.

I feel like i've been in coma for the last decade, which program/technology created such realistic renders? if it wasnt the camera angles i won't be able to tell its real or rendered at all in some of the scenes. Or is it because lighting in space is a lot easier to be realistically rendered? The materials on the hall looks so real as well.

Its true! The MX Revolution is THE best purchase i've made on computer peripherals. And to this day, i'm still amazed by the SmartShift, which sadly is not in the new Performance Mouse MX. But good to know that the bt version of MX Revolution lives on, in case mine ever craps out at some point.
