remote buddy lets you do this very well and cheaply through a web cam on a vnc enabled mac. no PTZ control yet though...
i concur; the stokke solves most of the problems this design creates. lack of suspension still a problem on both. still love the stokke...
as for the topic in question; i would not go to a gadget site that DIDN'T assume it's eager readers had been aware of and at least planned for the digital transition. ...like years ago!
i actually think the giz apologizes for the prices of gadgets too much. where is the website that is up to date on the newest, coolest, geek gear and gadgets and spends no time talking about how the things would be cool if they didn't cost $300? i'll deside for myself what is too expensive; you just tell me about it and where i can find it! (i am very happy with my macbook air with the ssd. see; i am stupid like that)
that explains it! mine was covered by a white square. adblock ftw.
and i completely forgot to say that i love installer 3.0! i played with it in 1.0.2 and in 1.1.1 and they have addressed almost every gripe i had about this most excellent application. it really is the cross-over app for iphone wanna be tinkerers like myself. all without an sdk and in less than a few months! now if only there were screen shots of new apps and a reader rated star system. so you could view by popularity and satisfaction. high on my list would be this app, summerboard (kinda lost some feature in 1.1.1) and customize to name a few.
i don't think so. you have to start from scratch. and i take it back; the iphone is buggy with the 3rd party apps and 1.1.1. a lot of spontaneous app crashes. still wouldn't go back; i felt second class running old firmware. so far restarting solves most crashes. i am impressed on the whole.
syphone is a great little free app to make sure the text messages on your phone are backed up since itunes doesn't specify if it does or where...
and here are the 2 missing parenthesis i left dangling above- ))
first, back up your 1.02 iphone in itunes , restore it in itunes, upgrade the firmware to 1.1.1, download ijailbreak on your mac, run ijailbreak- follow instructions included (should take 10-15 minutes with 3 manual reboots finishing with installer app on your iphone and obviously a 'unjailed iphone, sync iphone with itunes (to put back your info, open installer app on iphone, update it with installer app to 3.0 then re-download 3rd party apps! most work fine. some minor crashing; but not more than usual.
all security and communications gear still to be delivered and installed. counter-tops encourage clutter. but it does need a cup holder. most of the mounts are from hospital supply sites. they are heavier duty and better made.
it's aluminum speed rail. all monitor mounts are fully articulating; can rotate to portrait and be pulled almost 2 feet closer depending on task. the rig was modeled in sketchup. and i am happy to share complete list of components...
for a scale reference the box shows the cockpit holding FOUR mini-figs! like it should. the instructions (all 4lbs 2oz of it) have a concise piece list at the end and as all lego nuts know you can not only order any (god forbid) missing parts but if you get the instructions and the part list (easily found on-line) you can build it without ordering the box set. or you can customize... but i think it is probably cheaper to get the box. $500 for 5000 pieces = $.10 per; anyone know what lego charges per piece?
i am married with 2 kids

it was delivered to me yesterday and i sent the pictures in this afternoon. unfortunately i have a job so it isn't finished yet (-complete lie; my wife wont let me touch it 'till christmas...) so i will have to just send the finished pictures of the snowspeeder i am working on now. i am sure i wont be the first to finish it. as far as the questions about size it is huge; about the same size as the ucs star-destroyer box. maybe a few inches bigger.
