<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on Panasonic Smart Home Probably Won't Try to Kill You like HAL 9000]]> The moving TV made me laugh. The last time I looked into any moving TV thing they were in the $3000+ range. For that price I'll just buy another TV or 2.

<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on New Telescope to Create 150 Petabyte Database of the Universe]]> I would be more interested in applying the data to a holodeck type program. I would bet we could learn more moving through the universe in a 3D space and noting the changes and relationships between the body's.
The data is nice but the plan on how to use it is just as important.

<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on The 100-inch Rear Projection Television Upgrade]]> Now I really feeling good after reading that article. I spent less for a my larger mororised screen and less for the 1080p projector. I could have gone 150" for lees then this guy spent but I was out of room.

<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on Circuit City Continues Death Spiral, Really Wants You to Stop Calling It "Circuit Shitty"]]> I just assume the people running these stores have no clue. What is interesting is they seem to have a wider range of desirable products. Here are some of my problems if someone at CC is listening:
1) Stores are not inviting. You have to walk by some crappy products or open box as soon as you walk in. Stick that crap in the back behind the computers.
2) Get rid of Verizon only. Weather you like them or not it is consumer unfriendly.
3) More in stock car and home audio(BB usually can't compete here) Maybe add more front projectors one can actually see.
4) CC usually has a better music section to me but they never advertise it. The trend is more towards though and the CC movie section sucks.
5) Get some more draws where BB has gone astray. Like $5 or $10 HDMI cables or add cheaper cables in general. When faced with a BB DVD player for $85 and a $60 cable I would go to CC for a $90 player and a $10 cable. (I would really go the monoprice but you get the idea)
This is help is provided free of charge and we need competition.

<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on In Spite of Downloadable Movies, I Still Choose Blu-ray]]> Now that I think about it they should put the 2 or 3 different digital versions of the film on a blu-ray disc and allow for moving your hard copy to any divice you want.
We all get real media at a higher rez and they don't need to provide downloading bandwidth. Charge $10 a disc and mail them to my house.

<![CDATA[fastm3driver commented on Ethanol investor wants to kill the electric car]]> Despite his motives, I think he is right. Li-ion if far from perfect and it is 4X too expensive. Volume is already high for these batteries so I don't see their price dropping anytime soon.
On that note, biofuels are not that great yet either. They are in a sort of a brake-even point right now but if they figure out how to make fuel from the whole plant (maybe 3-4 years) it would make all the sense in the world.
Electric is a dud unless they develop far greater batteries. If you disagree you know nothing technical about electric vehicles.
