I seen your post on your Mac switch and the small issue of Spaces vs. Drag & Drop. If you drag the item to the edge of the screen and hold it, it shifts 'spaces' for you and you retain the 'drag' of the item

Here is a website dedicated to all things Freeware on a mac. It's very comprehensive. Anything you could need or want is on here:

Look harder :D 90% of the software on my Mac is freeware, the other 10% is OS X :D
As a Mac newcomer here are some suggestions you might have missed:
Quicksilver, learn to use it learn to love it, probably the most useful app on OS X
iStat menus, very useful
SizzlingKeys, I use this everyday
Terminal Visor, again I use this everydayBoth Quicksilver and Visor are available on [www.blacktree.com]
Also, look into darwinports, it opens up all the freeware goodness of linux, allowing you to run almost any linux software on OS X, you can even run gnome or kde if you want to.
Good luck! And have fun with your new Mac!

This is actually the first Gizmodo article I have ever read.
A good reporting is non biased and objective. Calling the subject of your report dumb and stupid is a sad reflection on you. I don't own an iPhone or the beer apps but would have like to read about what was happening without your offensive opinion inserted into the report.
Pretty sure if this is the quality of reporting I wont be back to read any more.

Sorry about the {blink} fiasco... but if someone is going to invoke the Unholy Trinity of Demolition Man (Wesley Snipes, Sly Stallone, and Sandra Bullock), they're going to be punished for it. In blink form.

I felt a little weird when all my followers stopped following me simultaneously. I guess it happened to you too, which makes me feel a little less weird.

Hi Adam.
Funnily enough, much to my family's display I offered myself for this mission. Why not, right?
Let me explain: my friend was at RISD (1999) taking a design course related to a manned mission to mars.
either way - I asked him to tell the NASA liason officer about my offer...apparantly it was not new and plenty of qualified astronauts had already offered - but NASA policy means they were all told no!
