"@derekhaltom: actually, the point i was making was, what's the point of the dock at all when the taskbar can do all the things it can do and a lot that the dock can't do at all..."
"Can someone give me a reason other than "it looks cool" why one would waste screen real estate on both a dock and a taskbar, when you can put almost all of the functionality of the dock plus more on the taskbar (using the quick launch bar, and folder menus), while taking up less vertical space, which is most valuable in a widescreen display?"
"Can anyone recommend an OSX or windows application that has an odometer on the bandwidth usage of my entire network, so I can ease off the throttle if I'm close to hitting that mark?
I'm on TW in los angeles but I just want to know where I'm at for now so I know whether or not to be worried."
"@brainwav: I just checked 3 of my google analytics accounts and showed that less than 4 percent of users had resolutions equal to or less than 800x600, and I'm assuming people that would be in the market for this type of niche product would not be among those 4 percent."
"The character animation is 2d Flash-style, which you can see because they body parts slide along each other along planes whereas 3d they would rotate more."
"Despite what AntiMatty said, are we ever gonna get to the point where people realize with today's technology some of these properties are much better off being adapted into feature length high quality animation?"
"Just saw it finally, it wasn't bad, the effects were atrocious.
It was good in the first half or so creating an otherwise interesting social dynamic with the rednecks being anti-war, etc, but then it devolved into a crappy god thing and no action until the video game cutscene ending.
Such a good setup, and then lost it promptly.
Still wasn't terrible though, it was worth my time."
