I never personally experienced that "dull and/or listless," effect, but can't be certain if it was a side effect of liking my partners first, or something more subtle which was subconcious to me at the time? As for defining "sex," I used to think that it essentially started with physical contact with a partner's genitals, but recently dated a girl who could climax from my kisses, so I give up on defining something with such a wide variation of perspective?
I was also confused about the unstarring since the post seemed fairly on-topic and respectful, but maybe my hide is thicker than most?... I think that previous generations (in some cases) started as early as this or any other, but the actual quantity of partners in recent generations has grown... I personally made an early choice to find out if I actually LIKED my partners before physical intimacy, but from news reports recently, it seems like some kids consider sex as a part of that decision?... I don't follow (or understand) such logic, and in some cases, it seems like a lack of self-respect. Only parents can teach their children selectivity of whom they choose to give their respect, and right from wrong.
First of all, it's amazing how few treated it as the (very) old joke that it is...
Second of all, abstinence, if truly followed, actually DOES work. (Not counting that time a couple of thousand years ago that people still talk about a lot.)
I've about decided that these idiots are proof that genetic traits run in families - otherwise, someone would bitch-slap some sense into their loved ones.
Living in the Southeastern USA, there are a great number blacksmiths, gunsmiths, and knife makers who keep these skills alive and pass on knowledge to apprentices... Sometimes you can see them at heritage museums, but many are also artists of their craft who's creations are sought out far and wide...
I encourage anyone with the opportunity to visit and observe one of these craftsmen/women at work - you won't be disappointed.
Am I the only one that finds it ironic that some of the same people seeking out the latest, greatest, big-screen HDTV's are also living their lives and surfing the web through some of the smallest video screens available?
I grew up listening to and watching Carlin. Other than commenting on society, I don't see it. And we sure do still need comedians commenting on society today!
"I would hazard a guess that the scientists that have proven and reproven that global warming is occurring could give a fuck ton less about a "socialist" agenda or a fascist one or a democratic or republican one."
Oh hell yeah they care! One doesn't receive millions of dollars in grant money from certain groups if you're trying to prove that temperature changes detected are part of a normal global cycle that has occurred since before mankind existed.
I wasn't a big fan of some of things the man did in business, but I cannot deny his success.
That said, he will always be recognized as one of the biggest influences in the history of technology's accessibility being advanced and brought to the public, and in the advancement of knowledge in many fields of technology.
The world has been changed by his life, and generally speaking, for the better. We should all hope to leave such a legacy.
My condolences to his family, friends, and "fan boys." ;^)
Your same arguments could apply to someone that stepped behind some bushes to "take a leak" because they had to in a hurry.... With one exception, a cop can still arrest you just because he KNOWS what you're doing - no matter how discrete you were.
