Well, that's not quite true. Apple engineers do a good job making sure that they are designed to stay together and work wonderfully even if there is a minor manufacturing error. But it is remarkable to realize how little these products actually fail, considering they are made by tired, bored and human hands.

Not all SSDs have SandForce controllers, and some SSDs don't do much garbage collection at the controller level.

Picked it up. It's definitely slick, but it needs alerts like a few other people said. In the mean time I will continue to use iOS 5's Reminders app for time-sensitive stuff.
