"The Mac ads seem purely targeted at keeping their own users by making them feel superior and increasing sales through bamboozling 1st time computer buyers. I purchased a Mac mini recently at Magnum Mac to do some iPhone dev and out of interest asked the sales guy about the 23inch monitor they had on show."

"@net_addict: And by describe particular features of their products you mean take a half truths about their product and deliver it out of context in a smarmy manner. The ads may be a reaction to Macs ads but they still have more class and deliver as much real context as the Mac ads do."

"Given Apples approach to marketing their products and the percieved superioty of them that they foster it doesn't seem unreasonable that a consumer would expect their product to work as advertised. As for blaming AT&T, Apple should have aligned with a provider or providers that could live up to their expectations."
