"Is there is a polarizing layer there, which is above the LCD but below the watch hands? So you need to turn the watch to see the LCD, and therefor when its turned (hand pointing at your chest), it needs to be oriented correctly. Or maybe its just the backlight being off not allowing one to see the LCD. A better idea imo, is to have the lcd visible when only you are directly looking at it."
