<![CDATA[jellobrains commented on Solar Impulse Prototype Unveiled; Solar Plane to Circumnavigate the Globe]]> I think airships would be great! Not only would a modern airship benefit from not having to rely on hydrogen, it would also benefit from much better weather radars and forecasting. Plus propulsion could come from a VERY small and remotely mounted turbine or turboprop. Obviously this fleet of airships wouldn't be meant for compitetion with civil airliners, but rather with CRUISE SHIPS! Well they would be cruise AIRships! Leaving from southern ports, Miami and along the gulf coast, flying, slowly but yet briskly compared to ships, south to the typical tropical locals, all at a low enough altitude to see the beautiful Caribean waters. Who want's to give me some start up capital?

<![CDATA[jellobrains commented on FCC Extends Analog TV Support Until 2012]]> OH and in my area (huntsville AL) I get 18 total over the air stations (ie Free) and 13 unique HD broadcasts. TO me watching network TV, sports (NFL etc) in HD is stunning. I could never go back.

]]>
<![CDATA[jellobrains commented on FCC Extends Analog TV Support Until 2012]]> Regarding "rabbit ears". I recently picked up a Samsung LN-T4065F with a Samsung DVD-1080P7. It is my first HD tv setup. I have Comcast Digital cable. So it didn't take too long after watching some 1080p upconverted DVDs and then the crappy cable that SD cable is total crap. And you know what? They don't ship rabbit ears with these TVs anymore! So after this [www.lumenlab.com] and 30 minutes, I was in business! I think it is better than rabbit ears, being a decent UHF antenna. And it is totally hidden BEHIND the TV, so wife acceptence factor is satisfied.

]]>
<![CDATA[jellobrains commented on Fiberglass Ghetto Sub Intercepted in Brooklyn Harbor Missing Pastrami, Cheddar, Pickles]]> @ninjaturd: one of the reason they used "regular old passenger planes" ie 757 and 767, is because of their large size and fuel capacity. Unless "their own jets" (whatever the heck that means, but I guess you mean aircraft they could have purchased without causing undue suspicion of their plans) were 757 or larger, then the attack would probably not have been nearly as successful. However, I wish they would have consulted you. The whole thing would have never happened because they likely would have been caught trying to purchase multi-million dollar civil airliners for no apparent reason. If they somehow managed to avoid arrest at that point and then turned to aircraft more easily purchased, say old business class jets, then we would again be fortunate in that such small aircraft would probably not been able to bring the towers down.
