just saw your PM re the dragon. my vet did it, it's not something you can do yourself. 2 injections, i believe it's one to sedate and the other stops the heart. It's sad because it takes a while - their metabolisms are so much slower than a mammal's.

Good luck with you new dog! Mine was thrown in a field with her littermates to die, and someone found them and took them to a shelter. On their last day, a local rescue group took her, and they gave her to me. She's so cute! I think she's some sort of border collie/chow mix. Super fluffy!

Yeah, CFLs do not dim at the same rate as incandescents/halogens. I bought a 5k dimmable bulb and when I figured out it wouldn't work with the smart dimmers I put it in a floor lamp as a daylight balanced reading lamp. The plug-in dimmers actually work great for that. Sorry you spent so much on the bulbs!
