"@mattjumbo: Apps are written in flavor of Java...it's not that big a deal folks.
Here's how the carriers can make money on their services...offer something more compelling than what I can already download for free.
Hey...they're already making money off my sub...why double-dip for gps/nav & streaming video...stuff I can already do for free...although it's a "violation" of their TOS.
Carriers should stick to building out their networks as this is their PRIMARY reason for existence."
"Eyes, throat, balls, knees...every target is valid in an assault like this...and most folks won't resort to a hardcore "poking" which will drop somebody asap.
Screw the punches man.
Like the rest of you...my blood kinda boils watching these random public assaults.
The hardest thing in situations like this is keeping your cool so you can deliver appropriate response (throat, eyes, etc.).
If EVERY bystander in situations like this ganged up on unarmed attackers...there's no fear in #s man."
"The quintessential geek...love ya bill.
Thanks for helping kickstart the PC biz...we've all benefitted.
You helped make it possible for me to leave high school 25+ years ago and make more $$ than friends with degrees (school of hard knocks here)."
"@Evangelion: Learn to read dude...and while you're at it learn NOT to commit fraud too...kay?
From Pender's post:
"...No doubt you've come up with someway to rationalize why this is better than just shoplifting the electronics outright."
See all those crazy words before shoplifting?"
"When I was 11 or so my cousin created a 'shock device' consisting of a plywood board, some electronics and 2 'door coil stoppers' for you to grip with each hand.
F'ing thing hurt so bad when he flipped the switch I accidentally knocked him out when I got shocked...just desserts."
"My Kodak V1233 does 720p but isn't water-resistant...cost $200 at CostCo.
I like this unit a lot.
Only problems I've seen with mp4 and hi-def is when you quickly pan the camera the sensor can't keep up and you get some 'jaggies'/image shift."
"@bitfactory: Given iPhone SDK is quite locked down I can hardly compare it to an open API that seamlessly merges applications with desktop.
The gPhone API was designed with developers in mind...Apple's was designed with politics and the bottom-line in mind...no comparison."
"In San Francisco U-verse is laying fiber only to neighborhood hubs...then CAT6 from hubs to homes.
I was kinda hoping for fiber...need more fiber in my life (both kinds)."
