1) I find the optical viewfinder to be a let down on my Canon t2i. Some of this is because it's not a full-frame camera to the viewfinder is not as good... though i'd never be in the market for a full frame. I absolutely adore my f1.4 lens, though according to my experience though, the viewfinder is only good for f2. If i want to manual focus, I use the LCD because I can see very well where the focal point is.
2) It's noisy, no stealth shots. Gawd taking photographs of adults is like a crime against humanity in which all of humanity hypocritically wants the photos they just harassed me about on facebook. You take a shot in-doors with a DSLR and you are guaranteed everyone will look at you right afterwards.
Reasons why the LCD is crappy on a t2i:
1) The autofocus when in 'live mode' (which means using the LCD) is VERY SLOW. Maybe this is because of user error, but I don't think so. The 9 point autofocus isn't available in live mode.
Summary:
For most shots I use the optical viewfinder because the autofocus is several times faster and more accurate. Heck, i'm basically doing just point and shoot at that point. Aside from noticing the shot and framing, I might as well close my eyes. Why is autofocus so crappy using the LCD? Why is the optical viewfinder so crappy for depth of field?
I'm looking forward to the first Canon body which is mirror-less with in-body image stabilization.
edit: it was DLNA, maybe Airplay works better, but really this is Sony...
The Battlestar Galactica boardgame is a perfect example of what this game is missing. The very core mechanics of the boardgame play the BSG story perfectly. [boardgamegeek.com]
