If you listen to the lyrics of the chorus, "no we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it".
I haven't been given the option to pay more. What if you had the choice to buy an iPhone made in America or one made in China? That would be very interesting. I would love the option of buying an iPhone made in a first world country, or maybe an iPhone made in a labor-rights-generous factory in China.
Reasons why the optical viewfinder is crappy on Canon t2i:

1) I find the optical viewfinder to be a let down on my Canon t2i. Some of this is because it's not a full-frame camera to the viewfinder is not as good... though i'd never be in the market for a full frame. I absolutely adore my f1.4 lens, though according to my experience though, the viewfinder is only good for f2. If i want to manual focus, I use the LCD because I can see very well where the focal point is.

2) It's noisy, no stealth shots. Gawd taking photographs of adults is like a crime against humanity in which all of humanity hypocritically wants the photos they just harassed me about on facebook. You take a shot in-doors with a DSLR and you are guaranteed everyone will look at you right afterwards.

Reasons why the LCD is crappy on a t2i:

1) The autofocus when in 'live mode' (which means using the LCD) is VERY SLOW. Maybe this is because of user error, but I don't think so. The 9 point autofocus isn't available in live mode.

Summary:

For most shots I use the optical viewfinder because the autofocus is several times faster and more accurate. Heck, i'm basically doing just point and shoot at that point. Aside from noticing the shot and framing, I might as well close my eyes. Why is autofocus so crappy using the LCD? Why is the optical viewfinder so crappy for depth of field?

I'm looking forward to the first Canon body which is mirror-less with in-body image stabilization.

I infer from your statements, and a dab of logic, that Gizmodo is not pro-apple; Gizmodo is pro-pageviews. Hopefully that perspective helps to relieve the head pain. :D
Moe meh. Awesome example of tasteful decoration nontheless, and great lighting. Beats the heck ouf of my home office.
too bad you have to jailbreak for this :-(
12' x 15' living room, pretty small by modern suburbia standards; I just like to put the Theater back in Home Theater. ;-)
Indeed, look at Siri.
Years ago while explore the displays Loewe was selling, I learned of the influence of display processors and how they really did a lot to dictate image quality. The other day I was looking at a Kuro branded 75" LED with the 240hz (?) feature that looked amazingly film like. Next to the Sharp 80" it looked masterful, with the 80" processing rendering scenes in an oddly 2d manner. In any case, the glory of Kuro wasn't just the display, a lot of it was having HiFi processors in a relatively consumer display. Such things still exist on the market. Alas, 75" is not big enough for me.
Yup, here it is, looks just like the one at the bottom of the article here.

I looked into the last generation of these and they had horrible reviews because of the DRM, they wouldn't play anything where the DRM couldn't be verified. Has Sony really changed that? Somehow I doubt it, given Sony has been making same mistakes for the last 20 years. Oh how I miss the company that created the walkman, back before they merged with a media company and started making technology to 'protect' the media instead of to enrich customers lives.

edit: it was DLNA, maybe Airplay works better, but really this is Sony...

I'm having the hardest time getting into Skyrim because the combat seems too vague compared to Skyward Sword. I am comparing 3rd person to 1st person I guess, but I can't help but dream about what Skyrim would be like with move controllers and better collisions/combat/timing.
That changes my view from admonishment to admiration. I guess the post was too long so I didn't make it to the end where that important tidbit of information was :-)
Thanks, I'll probably give Aperture a shot then.
But how does it compare to Aperture? Wouldn't iPhoto have a strong advantage in terms of integration?
Very interesting. Every time I see a commercial for the USA armed forces, I get this really weird 'art inspires life vs. life inspires art' feeling. I'd love to see the military run something like this, but the boys they are most likely to recruit are most likely engrossed in MW3.
The mechanics of Monopoly do not capture the essence of Mass Effect at all. You might as well just release a Mass Effect themed Mario Bros game, or Uno, or whatever. Ultimately it's just licensed tripe. I don't know what a great Mass Effect board game would be like, but it wouldn't be this.

The Battlestar Galactica boardgame is a perfect example of what this game is missing. The very core mechanics of the boardgame play the BSG story perfectly. [boardgamegeek.com]
