"@squeakel: This is completely anecdotal, but I've found that men are likely to take more risks and drive faster but have better accuracy (but those first two are what cause men to have higher insurance rates) - and women do tend to drive slower but don't pay attention as closely or are more easily distracted in the car. There are certain good things that I learned from my dad (like being able to look up the road a quarter mile by looking through other cars' windshields and being able to tell what a car/driver is going to do well before they do it) but I love my mom's advice: "It's all about space and opportunity."
