"I did something like this to an old web host (I believe it was powweb; it's been 5 years so my memory is a bit hazy). I just signed up with their service and as I do a bit of CGI scripting, when my requests for technical info was unanswered, I wrote a script to allow me to navigate my folders on their web server...to my surprise it let me navigate the WHOLE server (even root), I had access to file lists in other users folders and could open them. I opened 3 "online chat" dialogs with their (man-off-the-street) technical support (dee-dee-dee)."
