Hey I hate trolls and flame wars as much as the rest but I don't think any critical view of the site should be taken as trolling.
All that does is breed a society of complacency.
Majority of my posts are input on an issue or questions to others regarding information I may not know about.
And in my first critical post about an article I some how invoked the ire of Blam to the extent he told me to go find another site.
[gizmodo.com]
So its all how you look at it.... "trolls" are dedicated daily readers. Their input is part of the consensus. We are invisible to the masses and greyed out to the elite. This time its those with out the yellow star who are "the problem."
"I speak in the name of the entire German people when I assure the world that we all share the honest wish to eliminate the enmity that brings far more costs than any possible benefits..."

@Brian Lam: Good point.
You may have taken offense to my statement being that you are the editorial director of Giz but that wasn't my intent.
I think alot of the articles are interesting. Seeing as I check the site about every hour. I could only hope you would take a dedicated reader's opinion as part of the pie that helps you decide where to take your content.
Especially since I stated all the things I like about Gizmodo. As well as provided examples of things I think everyone would like to see and are the fulcrum of tech sites.... product reviews on gadgets.
But then again this is the internet. One would type cast me under the stereotype of just another complaining non star having troll. Rather than someone who has read Giz since 03'.
Dont worry I'm not going anywhere. I'll chock it up to me being the final straw.
Not that big of a deal.

@valkilmerisawful: Thats' a nice feature. Where's the button that makes them write other interesting articles.
There is very few excuses for slow news days in the tech sector. Posts like this and a couple others this week were more filler than actual news pieces.
I love Giz I damn near live on the site. I dont take issue with non Tech writings on other fields of science. But company earnings and those of temp Presidents dont count as news. Maybe to share holders but not to tech heads, leave that for bornrich.
Give me an article on the thalidomide connection to birth defects. Maybe get an interview with Alexander Shulgin and his amazing life and discovery of more mind altering substances than any other man. Do more product reviews. Something comes out every day. Find it touch it tell me about it.
I dont know about you but I never imagined the Invisible Woman looking that good.
It kinda ruins her being invisible.
While giving credibility to her going by the name Mrs. Fantastic
Watching Freaknik on adult swim. In fact Adult swim is all I watch from 10 till 5:30....
I need to sleep more.
I wish I wasn't unemployed.
I'm so tired of being unemployed I applied to be a Giz intern.

Thank fucking God. I've been waiting years for someone to update the choose your own way stories genre.
Ok use this on blueray live disks. Connect to an off site server with the voice recognition software. Have a Mic connect for PC's or enter in the decision with your remote for stand alone players. Its been my dream for years.
I better patent it so I can sue someone in a couple years......
Whats are the answers to do the opposite? I can get around a mac but would love to fool around with one more without buying one. I know there is Hackentoshing possible for Dell's but is there an any system answer for windows pc's and laptops.
@van Damage: I say no way, Its my go to on a slow news day. If it wasn't the answer then why does Gizmodo reference Engadget articles. Some one up in Giz offices is reading it.
But by no means is it my go to news source, that would be Giz.If anything because its more entertaining. Engadget articles seem cold and calculated.

@Gary_7vn: I think baby prerequisites are a good idea but It should be approached in a much different way.
The issue isnt allowing people to have a baby . Its allowing people the ability to have a baby. Birth Control should be required for *everyone.
There should be one decision as to whether or not to be allowed to get off birth control. Financial ability to support a child. Measured by disposable income. The basic cost to provide for a child with clothes, food, ect.
This solution involves no abortions. But it does cause issue with adherent Catholics. But then again so does condoms...
The main issue is the question of method of delivery. I have no answer for it now. Currently I think at the age of 15 anyone should be able to get their respective birth control at school for free.
Will either prevent all unwanted pregnancy, no. Will either prevent stupid parents or homicidal kids. But either would cut down all associated negatives enough to be fiscally positive.
-My two cents
*Birth control for men is currently being developed.

I agree the platform is dynamic simple and refreshing to use. But my quarrel is with lauding Penguin with accolades for its method for the presentation of information. Its been done... alot ... by everyone.
Samorost or machinarium are great examples of far more advanced "touch stories" that could be dropped onto an iPad with out changing a thing and exemplify the basic touch for action of See Spot.
The Star finder is a Augmented Reality app.
Anatomy is right out of any digital encyclopedia made in the last 5 years. Same with the DK Travel the Itinerary is the only new feature.
The vampire book / social app is facebook vampire wars with a book as its fulcrum. ( That is pretty original I have to admit)
Not to star a flame war but all I saw was video of things that flash and silverlight can do on any web page. Things Ive seen on Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia and Encarta since 1995. Does slapping a touch screen on any UI make it the best thing since indoor plumbing. Why is this revolutionary again?
