@ronpandolfi: I can't speak for all computers, and obviously the networking is a bit tricky when both computers naïvely expect DHCP, but I've successfully used this with FTP and SCP to transfer files real quick-like.
In all likelihood, you don't actually need a Crossover Ethernet cable. Most modern computers, especially those with Gigabit ethernet, will figure out crossover by themselves.
If memory serves, in Wisconsin it is legal to /sell/ fireworks of nearly any assortment, but using them is (mostly) illegal. In as rural a state as ours mostly is, nobody much cares.
I really wish that Adobe would release 64-bit flash for Ubuntu. It'd be a nice thing to do, seeing as this is 2010 and some people have more than 3gb of RAM.
@Thespamhere: I host my Django site with dreamhost, and it seems to work fine. It uses Carrier. It is admittedly in beta, but I've never had any problems with it (my site is extremely basic though, YMMV)
