<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Plastic Motor Powered Directly By Light, No Solar Middleman Necessary]]> This actually isn't such a bad concept. I'm not seeing this powering automobiles in the next decade, but this would be absolutely wonderful for small scale autonomous robots. Seriously, imagine dozens of tiny roomba vacuums roaming the house, constantly cleaning every surface? (carpets, tile, countertops, toilets), all on free energy.

<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Creative Decks Out Zen Range with Patterned Mozaic PMP]]> Look at me! I'm a trendy mp3 player that looks like a dance club... and nobody cares

Honestly I haven't used creative since the buggy (and horrible battery life) zen micro, and even now I don't even use my 4gb Sansa now that I have an 8gb ipod inside my iphone. Really, for $200 I can have a nice phone and a really great mp3 player, why would I bother with a seperate player?

<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Plug-In Hybrid Pickup To Get 100 MPG, Sticker Of Calvin Peeing On Our Foreign Oil Dependency]]> wool, meet eyes..

I'm willing to bet when it's released they'll spec it as 100mpg too, even though that's only true for the first 60 miles (since it's running off of straight electricity for the first 40). After that, it's good old 4-banger 60mpg hybrid goodness.

How dumb do they think consumers are?

<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Miata Owner Gets Bored, Swaps In Jaguar V12]]> I bet the heater works great in colder climates.. in fact you may burn your legs on the engine sticking into the interior!

]]>
<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on BlackBerry Waving the White Flag and Loving It]]> honestly I thought I'd hate the touchscreen keyboard, but I almost prefer it. When keys get so small your fingers start mashing multiple keys together, it doesn't matter if they are physical keys. At least with a touchscreen you get the option of moving your finger until your on the right key.

I have to give it to apple, they've got the better phone.

<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Actual Google Phone Rumors Revived: Designed by Ammunition Group]]> I couldn't wait that long, I bought the 3g iphone this weekend. Your not going to see a gphone until the end of the year at best, of not next year. Google hasn't released an updated non-buggy version of their SDK since it was released 4 months ago, the programming language is more difficult than the one for the iphone, and quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if the "free developers" give up and start developing for the iphone.

Don't hold your breathe, android was a good idea, but google is taking their sweet time, something you can't do in the cellphone market. Maybe when my contract with AT&T is up in 2 years and there's actually decent support for android, I might switch.

<![CDATA[toyotaboy commented on Car Stereo Company Tries To Install GPS, Causes $12,398.54 Damage To Your Car]]> Unfortunately, your not much safer from a ma & pa store. I have a friend who's been doing stereos for almost 20 years, and he still hacks things together (avoiding connectors whenever possible to save money), although I don't think he's ever done damage like this, I think the worse thing he did was fry a main $300 wiring harness when he shorted the battery.

Yeaa.. so in other words this is an idea with a flashy 3d rendering of what it could look like. who hasn't thought of such a device, how is this news?

I'm gonna go draw a device that looks like it could make me invisible, and then make a statement "I'm looking for someone to invent this for me"
