<![CDATA[uberfu commented on Signal Jacket for Cyclists Gets Instructable: Your Arms Will be Happy]]> Oh and watch out - don't wear this at the airport_ Someone might mistake you for a potential terrorist_

]]>
<![CDATA[uberfu commented on Signal Jacket for Cyclists Gets Instructable: Your Arms Will be Happy]]> Doesn't work if the cyclist is wearing a backpack with supplies_

It's a good idea tho_ They just need to refine it more_ The shape need to be a more prominant Arrow Shape_

The color of the jacket need to be bright colors_ One of the stupidest fucking things any cyclist with a brain will tell you is riding at night with dark/ black clothing on_ Unless you're heading to the ghetto for a drug deal or a hooker - you WANT the cars to see you_

Also probably having the LED displays up at the shoulders on the outer edge so they are just before the curve of the shoulders might be better_ This would space them out farther and with an arrow shape would be more distinct_

I bike on occasion - but to me that would seem more of an annoyance as a driver than "oh yeah there's a cyclist wearing a black jacket at night with some annoying flashing crap happening"_

<![CDATA[uberfu commented on Snow Leopard Putting OS X On a Diet, Applications to Shrink Dramatically]]> @John Herrman: Yo John ! If you or someone nearby at Gizmodo manage to actually grab a mac and "look" at the Apps you mentioned above in your write up - they are all already well below the numbers you listed out by AppleInsider or wherever your information comes from_

Granted Mail - iCal and iChat can fluctuate in size_ Those 3 Apps I heavily use on a daily basis and including the various languages that are included with them - the following is on my machine at work running Leopard 10.5.3:

15.0MB - iChat [above 111 to 52 MB]
47.7MB - iCal [above 89 to 48 MB]
45.7MB - Mail [above 287 to 91 MB]
-------------

1.8 MB - calculator [above 13 MB]
1.1 MB - image capture [above 15 MB]
1.9 MB - text edit [above 22 MB]

All of these Apps are labeled as Universal [meaning that they contain both PPC and Intel code]_ Also I have a machine at home still running Tiger 10.4.11 and the App sizes are comprable to the above information_

RoughlyDrafted is smoking a little too much Ganja_ A few of the other Apps on that list compared:

860 KB - Stickies at RoughlyDrafted - 9 MB
3.1 MB - Automator at RoughlyDrafted - 29 MB
2 MB - Dictionary at RoughlyDrafted - 10 MB
3.2 MB - Fontbook at RoughlyDrafted - 18 MB
21.5 MB - iSync at RoughlyDrafted - 37 MB
3.4 MB - photo booth at RoughlyDrafted - 17 MB

The only 2 that are comparable on RoughlyDrafteds List are Quicktime and Safari_

John - you may want to find another source for this other than AppleInsider and RoughlyDrafted to garner some credibility_

In other news - it was raining baby pink pigs in Orlando this morning.....
