Well, video games are for kids, just because we are 30 year olds playing video games don't translate it as entertainment for adults. If anything this Wii toy as you call it, is the first console aimed at all ages, and mature audiences aren't into fraggin' and don't say violence is a must for anyone else other than 10-20 year olds...

Look at movies like Triple XXX or Fast & Furious or even Kill Bill, as much as you wanna believe otherwise, splattering blood, ninjas or burning rubber these are aimed at teenagers.

Imagine if NBC and ABC had never given the opportunity to comedians to start appearing on their stations, we would still be living with variety shows. Or if pcs had stayed in offices and all that they had to run were business software. If you see this as wrong, you probably aren't using a pc right now.

This industry needs to expand if you wanna get games to sell more than 5 million copies. I'm glad Sony forced Nintendo to expand their audience since they owned 90% of gamers, now Sony wants to expand and lost old gamers to Microsoft and new gamers to Nintendo. And bluray adoption is almost not existant. Now Nintendo is trying to bring more people into gaming by making software for everyone.

As a 20 year nintendo user, this is expected, and glad they are making new stuff. Even Mario Party is getting redone instead of another bad sequel and that game makes millions.

And the DS sold more than 700,000 in june, why release a new product that might fuck up sales? AS much as I wish for a new one, it's too early for a third model, maybe in 2 years.
