Chrome lets you do that natively now.
Subsonic also has a free android app, which is nice if you share your server like I do. Persoanlly, I've had fantastic luck with Subsonic. Built in URL directing too, so you don't need a dydns service.

Same here, but I assumed (apparently incorrectly) that everyone knew this after the advent of Vista/7's handling of ctrl alt delete.

Dinc here too with Skyraider. Personally, I liked Redemptive Revolution rom was a little smoother for me, but Skyraider gave me a few more options that make it well worth it.
Either way, I absolutely agree with you about HTC as a company. Anytime any asks me about a phone, regardless of carrier or Android/WP7, I always tell people to either get an HTC, or don't get a new phone.
