@Chuck: Yeah, had I wanted to go even longer, I would have gotten into that. I think Amazon will make use of color photography now, which is really what's needed for cookbooks. And certainly Apple will be working on this too. Both have formats that support big color images.

@Ninety-9: No, you've got it wrong. Just because Apple uses the format doesn't mean their books are "universal." In fact, you can't read Apple's ePubs on other readers--a point I make in this piece. Don't be fooled!
@Lacara: It's Lutheran, as I say up top. And re: NRSV, I don't know for sure but there may be some licensing issue about the translation. As far as the Bible app, you can do a lot of messing around. I haven't played with it fully, but it's a pretty sweet app. I think there's an iPhone version too.
@TheSonOfKrypton: Well, considering they usually print out the readings, I guess it's a step up from inkjet? They liked the iPad.
