They have no reason to lie. If this is any indication of how the new iPhone is selling one could conclude that Verizon and Sprint are doing very well if not better.
You make a very good point. And remember, we are talking about 2 additional carriers that will be offering the iPhone too. I think AT&T has proven that not everyone would be switching because of so called bad service. I think it was a little bit over the top.
You have to admit, this is pretty impressive not only for Apple but for AT&T. I remember reading about how everyone was going to defect to Verizon when the iPhone hit. Apparently, they were wrong. I hope Sprint does well selling the iPhone but the LTE upgrade and iPhone subsidies could get a little expensive for them. I think Verizon should buy them out if AT&T gets T-Mobile.
Despite the lawsuits from the DOJ and Sprint. The merger will go thru. AT&T will agree to whatever the DOJ wants including but not limited to donations to the Obama campaign.
It's funny how people get all upset about this when in reality you're probably not even affected. These are extreme users that are making our experience on the network worse. I say get rid of those hogs. Let them go to some other carrier like Sprint who has very little customers. :)
Yes. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Also, Apple was kind enough to give me a free copy of Lion OSX for beta testing it. I decided to install it but I didn't try the migration assistant afterwards because I am nervous something might happened. :)
Yes. I erased my hard drive and reinstalled leopard. I used the Migration Assistant to restore my Mac from Time Machine. It gave the following message:
"You can't transfer from your other Mac to this one because your other Mac uses a new version of Mac OS X. You must upgrade this Mac before you can transfer from your other Mac."
The option I chose for my migration method was "From a Time Machine backup or other disk."
Fortunately, you can manually navigate the Time Machine hd and get your iPhoto and Music libraries and other documents that you need.
I was a beta tester for Lion. The one thing I tested was reinstalling Snow Leopard after running Lion and Time Machine. When I went to restore Snow Leopard, it said I had to have Lion installed (proper OS).
Note: If you are going to install Lion and for some reason don't like it, you may not be able to restore your computer back using Time Machine in Snow Leopard. I would call Apple to verify if this is a concern.
