I wanted to pick up a pair of their previous ear-forces, and found out that not only do I have to be plugged into the controller, but to my receiver as well. With the wife and dog always walking in front of the T.V., that doesn't work for me.

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Five Superhero Movies We're Glad Didn't Get Made]]> @braak: That is one of, if not THE, worst movie of all time. With such a huge stinking pile of crapcakes, you can't just pull out one little piece and point out how bad it was.

That movie had such potential, and every aspect of it sucked.

Ah, who am I kidding, he is the best Backwards Bolivian Ping Pong partner this guy has ever had.

Oh, and just as a show of support for you and Carmen, sure you may have gotten a bit off occasionally, but we all have. And I have appreciated the turn away from the Myspacedness that was occurring in the very beginning. Keep up the good work!

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Power Tool Drag Racing is Our Kind of Non-Sport]]> @DRW-E: I couldn't concentrate on the onscreen action as the soundtrack was forcefully having its way with my ear canal.

I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. I guess I was imagining setting two circular saws on a big piece of plywood, and seeing which one could cut its way to the end the fastest.

]]>
<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on World's Greatest Astronomical Detective Strikes Again!]]> I have determined, by looking at the style and substance of the design of the table, that "Dogs Playing Poker" was inspired by the backroom location of Ye Olde Bar and Grille in Omaha, NE, at approximately 11:29pm, July 7th, 1974.

]]>
<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Top Gun Theme Free on Guitar Hero III]]> Why all the "Theme" hate? This song is much more iconic than Danger Zone. Yeah, the Loggins song was great, but this is much more inspiring as a theme song.

I put it on par with "Main Title" from Last of the Mohicans and "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop as songs that perfectly invoke the tone of the movie. Now, if only there were Orchestra Hero, and Synth Hero, we could enjoy those songs as well.

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Our Picks To Play Del Toro's Frankenstein]]> @Log1c: Brilliant choice, my good man.

My choice? Gheorghe Muresan ! [www.imdb.com] He already has the acting chops, and to my eye, looks like a monster.

p.s. kidding about the acting chops.

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Secret Planet Killer: High-Tech Japanese Toilets]]> Maybe its just me, but I DON'T like a warm toilet seat. <![CDATA[zenpoet commented on Video of the NYC Waterfalls in Action]]> I don't care what the rest of you say, I like it. I may not be as pompous as the guy in grspec post, but I do think that the idea of such a large amount of water flowing out of a scaffolding, back into a river, is kinda cool.

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on A Night With Bill Gates' New Big Hairy Vision]]> @Brian Lam: you had me at "Aw shit."

Great men are often polarizing, and their "pop culture persona" takes on Caricaturistic proportions. Sure his company has Borg-like assimilation tendancies. Sure, there is probably some truth behind is shady practices in the very begining of the creation of MS Windows.

But, the fact remains that the man is a financial juggernaut, and has more business acumen than any other person alive. Love him or hate him, he has had a profound effect on the way this world currently works, and he did it without a gun or a gas chamber.

<![CDATA[zenpoet commented on This Spaceship Car Doesn't Drive Quite Fast Enough To Get Away From The Haters]]> It may have 12" i-beams all around, but they appear to be lower than the bumper on most SUVs. With its lovely shape, a collision would simply mean that Arnold in the HumVee is going to drive over your car, crushing your skull, and ridding the world of an ugly piece of crap.

Now that I think about it, that is a PERFECT design.

Dammit, Andrew, no you!

Anyway, glad to have you both on board. Your background checks are pending, but no red flags yet. I don't want to find a "12 to the Moon" poster rolled up and hidden in your ceiling tiles, or a 2002 Time Machine replica sitting on your work desks.

Lauren, sorry to hear about law school. It is a damp and evil place.
