No other product's name sounds as soothing as the Dolby Lake Processor, and it looks pretty cool, too. No pricing was available for this one. www.dolby.com/professional/live_sound/Products/lake_proce...

Amazing. I was helping a mate record a live gig for the BBC (Wu Tang, if you must know) and the main processing tower was made of four of these units. I was drawn to them because of how amazing they look, and the sound guy basically said they're the best processors on the planet, and even he didn't know the price on them.

while i've never heard one of these before, i wouldn't call anything made by Dolby outrageous or for 'audiophools.' Ray Dolby has done more for modern audio than any other single person. your experience at the cinema would be nothing without his contributions.

Yeah, not sure how these made the list. I'm sure they're expensive, but the price comes with actual value in this case.

I've heard these things cost between five and seven grand, depending on which version you get. If they're as good as people say, that sounds pretty reasonable.

I absolutely love the Dolby Lake Processors especially with their wireless tie in to a tablet PC. These things are a god send for working in a live venue. I must also say that I love the Curve as well. Honestly I can think of dozens of more consumer orientated devices that would work out better at home. Oh and yeah I don't know how much these things are either, in my experience purchasing gear like this is on a bid system through installers or system designers. Unless you are a rental house or leading up an international tour, I would recommend something a tad more consumer friendly.
