This Furutech Demag $1800 flying saucer-like device can demagnetize your vinyl records. Sounds like a miracle. "Furutech tells us the carbon used to color vinyl attracts a magnetic charge and this charge affects the magnetic fields in your cartridgecreating distortion. After you demagnetize your records on the Demag, you will not believe the difference!" www.musicdirect.com/product/73520

After you demagnetize your records on the Demag, you will not believe the difference... exists!

This one is actually valid, just way overpriced.
Does no one remember the AntiStat kits form the 70's?
Basically, all this does is make sure that no particles stick to the record, allowing for cleaner sound. So there's at least some validity to this one.

Uh, no. Most dust is not magnetic. Nor is carbon. Snake oil, pure and simple.

@luckypictures: No, there is not. This product is not an antistatic wipe, it's claiming that there is a magical "magnetic" field created by records, DVDs, CDs, and so on, and that this field can be dispersed by demagnetizing the actual media.
It even claims it can demag the connectors in your system. NOWHERE on their site does it claim to be an antistatic device.

Records attract static but I have doubts about their magnetic properties. I also have doubts that this will do anything other than de-moneyfi your wallet.
