The Sega Genesis Lives Again (As a Bluetooth Speaker)S

Even with its over-hyped "blast processing" on the Genesis and the much-loved Dreamcast, Sega still ended up losing the console war to Nintendo, Sony, and eventually Microsoft. The company still survives through its software, but if you want new Sega hardware in your home you'll have to settle for this Bluetooth speaker from Tommo that pays tribute to the 25th Anniversary of the Genesis.

Available December 12 for $90, the speaker includes all the basics like Bluetooth 4.0 support, an aux-in port for connecting audio sources with a cable, and even NFC for streamlined pairing. The buttons on top are even lovingly styled to look like controller ports, except that this Genesis is all about playing music, not playing games. [Tommo via Tiny Cartridge]
