The fact that OS X tries to block you from hacking your iPhone is ridiculous, and the more people that buy their products, the worse they are gonna get.
@David Vines: ?? OS X does not try to block you from hacking, but you cannot blame Apple or any other company of not paying much attention to what can happen if you install software that is clearly badly written.
this happened to me when i installed traktor. all i did was pop in my OS X install disk and let it install again. all it does is just copy 10.5.5 back to your machine and your data wont be lost
@mferrari: That's because 'the Giz' is parroting news from a couple weeks ago instead of properly researching the issue.
I thought about this USBIO.kext thing and tried with my Dell 17" monitor's USB hub connection, voila, right after the 10.56 update, QuickPwn worked right the first time.
To Wilson Rothman and Adam Pash:: There, fixed that for you, now you can update your "articles".
Why am I so snarky about this? Because some people who have no bid-ness bopping around the term are going to mess up their systems. And are you going to have a 'special article' on chown, chroot, and chmod for them after this so-called 'article'?
I'm running a pirated copy of Leopard on my macbook. I've never done so before so i was wondering if downloading this update would break it? Should I wait for a torrent containing this update that i can install safely?
My airport seems to behave nicely on my old Macbook now (still on 5.5) but good to know that by the time I get my new macbook, much of the new issues will be resolved. Sheesh.
@Erick Gomez: Given that Pro Tools is a major application on par with Adobe Illustrator, I'm pretty sure that Apple repeatedly breaking it with every update is a bad thing.
One would think that the boys and girls in Cupertino would take a little more care to not create conflicts with major apps. Unless Apple is doing it to make you switch to Logic.
Not sure if you guys have experienced this but anyone ever had the problem where I turn on my macbook and it won't boot up? Instead I get vertical stripes and the startup sound keeps repeating.
@waveman216: You and me both. Next its time for microsoft to adknowledge the problems with solitaire instead of fixing the vista performance issues nobody cares about...

I have been putting off the quicktime update until the ipt2g gets jailbroken so I can "fix" the DFU then jailbreak and re-fix the changes.
I can't believe Giz hasn't mentioned that option.
