@1 DVS BSTD-Its off the Hizzle fo $hizzle My Dizzle: I think he's referring to the "apparent" transparency of Macbook Pro iSight indication lights as you never know they are there until they are on and a light shines right through the aluminum. But I believe they accomplished that feat with many small (invisible to the eye) perforations on the aluminum in front of the light.
@Rabid Penguin: I'm just saying that they've been sitting on this technology since 1986. There was already a tensile proof-of-concept where they rigged up a tank that was durable enough to transport humpback whales.
Do I need to explain how the whales fit in with the Apple roadmap for the next five years?
@OMG! Ponies!: Nah, they used the standard 6" plexiglass for the whale tank. They simply paid for it by giving Plexicorp the formula for transparent aluminum.
@worst. giz commenter. ever.: I found it very cute. It was like he was SO EXCITED to tell us about this that he was typing incredibly fast and made a couple of goofy mistakes.
@Sword-chucks: actually, they're the bane of my existence. i wear a medium and all they hand out are XLs. taunting me as they see my face shift from glee to gloom as i notice tag: noooo, 50/50 poly blend XL. will not shrink.
