    @Tom Jun:
    Why aren't they a better shade of purple? That's like the coolest color in the wheel.

    @mykie: Don't laugh. My wife would kill you for a chance to see that. She'd kill you and not even blink. Strangle you with your own 3d Glasses.

    Ours is a brutal marriage.

    I got to see it when it first came out at Disney.

    I wish I could remember it.

    All I remember is awesomeness.

    @LuckyFink:
    I remember catching that during one of my visits to the two US-based Disney parks...and aside from the fact that it was the first time I'd ever watched anything in 3D it was disappointing as hell. It was basically just a really bad, really drawn out pop music video. I prefer _actual_ music, thankyouverymuch.

    If we must wear glasses, is it really so hard to use polarization technology instead of this shutter crap?

    @XerxesQados:
    Short answer: Yes.
    Not-as-short answer: Unless you want to set up a dual-projection system with polarized lenses on each of them, that solution is not going to work in the home entertainment industry.

    @Purple Dave: don't forget you need a special ($$$) reflective screen.

    @SamburgerHandwich:
    Whoops, yeah, I forgot that. Silver-coated screens are a must so they don't screw up the polarization when the light beams bounce off of the surface, or something like that.

    Now I can look like Donatello when I watch TMNT! Ha!

    I love 3D movies too. I could see myself using this.
