    I love the idea of FON, I just wish it wasn't hardware-specific. If there were FON software that I could download and use to share a bit of my WiFi with others, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But the fact that you actually have to buy one of their routers means that there are just too few to make it a reliable away-from-home connection resource, and that undermines the whole idea.


    That said, if I hadn't just upgraded my router a few months ago, I would've definitely considered this instead, so long as it's 802.11n.
