The first of the Korean electronics giant's next wave of large-screen TVs, the 40-incher is as thick as a 10- to 20-inch LCD desktop monitor, and has a bezel of just 14.6 mm, reduced from 30 mm. <![CDATA[Bigger LCD TVs Take Lead]]> It's taken a while, but it looks like 40-inch LCD TVs are now the fastest and largest-growing trend in the market (at least in Korea). With a drastic price cut in LCD larger screen prices just this month (by 12-20 percent), we can expect to see a lot more of these products in the market next year.

Sales of Samsung's LCD TVs rose by 417.8 percent compared to a year ago. Among them, sales of 42-inch LCD TVs soared by a whopping 1,188 percent.
Now if we can just get them up to 60 inches, LCD can really give plasma a run for its money.
