<![CDATA[Sizemodo: Sprint Mogul vs. PPC-6700, Cingular 8525, and Treo 700wx]]> The Sprint Mogul stacks up quite well compared with its predecessors and its distant cousin the 700wx.

It's the shortest of the bunch (the PPC-6700 is actually taller when you count the antenna), and definitely the thinnest. It's still relatively bulky if you're not used to carrying around an HTC slide-out smartphone, but it's definitely thinner than anything that's come before.

Larger image after the jump.

<![CDATA[Verizon Officialy Gets Treo 700wx, Sprint Points and Laughs Nelson Style]]> Palm and Verizon have finally made the Treo 700wx official on Verizon, featuring the increased RAM and various other improvements over the Treo 700w. Sprint users who have been using the 700wx since mid-2006 are gloating because it's one of the few times they get something before Verizon, and their price is only $249 compared to Verizon's $399 with 2-year contract.

That, and because their Ron Livingston is much cooler than that anonymous Verizon guy. Has the Verizon guy been in WWII and boned Carrie Bradshaw? Er, he hasn't been in WWII at least.

<![CDATA[Sprint Palm Treo 700wx's User Manual Leaked Online]]> Boy, those fellers at Sprint really have their act together. First it's all the leaked product material. Now their actual user manual is online!

Fans of Treos who are stuck on the Sprint network can go have a look. Print out all 436 pages, grab a nice lemonade and head outside for a nice, relaxing read. I hear someone gets killed on page 274, and Wolverine makes a cameo on page 311.

<![CDATA[Yawn...More Palm Treo 700wx Leaks (Spec Sheet)]]> I stopped eating cupcakes for this? Sprint's Windows Mobile 5.0 version of the Palm Treo 700 smartphone, dubbed the 700wx, has been covered in great detail, even though Sprint is whistling along, twiddling their thumbs, pretending it never happened. The latest piece of info is this official Palm spec sheet, shared with us by GadgetsOnTheGo.net. Again, what's new here? 128MB of RAM, vs. 64MB in the Verizon. More of the most important specs, after the jump. In a few days, Sprint will call us and yell "SURPRISE NEW TREO!!1!" Sigh.

<![CDATA[Sprint Leaks More Treo 700wx Brochures: September 3 Release Date, $649.99 SRP]]> Sprint's not-so-smarty-pants accidentally (?) released more brochures dealing with the launch date and pricing of the upcoming Treo 700wx, which Mobility Today got its hands on. The big news: the Treo 700wx will debut on September 3 and will retail for $649.99, less $150 if you sign up for a 2-year contract.

What's unexpected is the lack of any mention of GPS in the newly leaked documents. There had been rumors buzzing about pointing toward some sort of GPS capability being included, but now it appears that those rumors were unfounded. Silly rumors.

UPDATE: See, kids, make sure to get your eight hours of sleep or else you'll miss giant text that reads "GPS" in bright, glittering lights. So yeah, it has GPS, worry not.

<![CDATA[Sprint Palm Treo 700wx On Sale NOW?]]>

So this is definitely just a rumor, but apparently the Sprint Palm Treo 700wx is being sold at a Palm store in LA for $649 without a contract. Other Palm stores are telling customers that the new Treos are in the back, but they can't be sold until September 3rd. (Last we heard was a release around Sept. 5th)

Any Gizmodo readers spot Treos at their local Palm stores? And has anyone tried a Sprint store yet? Let us know so we can be better than everyone else (as usual) and get our 700wxs early!

<![CDATA[Treo 700w, 700wx Head-to-Head Battle]]>
After the flurry of news yesterday it is no surprise that a video of the 700wx has already popped up on the web. The clip puts the Treo 700wx from Sprint up to battle with a Treo 700w from Verizon. They both share an extremely similar form factor, but the 700wx is more responsive and has more memory. See for yourself and click play.

<![CDATA[Box Pics, Specs of Sprint's Treo 700wx Leaked, August 31 Release Date]]> The world is holding its breath waiting for more details on Sprint's version of the Palm Treo 700w, and, lo and behold, we've got some more info on the little wundergadget. Due to arrive on August 31, the most exciting tidbit of information that we have today is that the Treo will have double the amount of memory compared to its Verizon Wireless counterpart. Accordingly, the smartphone will see an "x" added to its name, thus making it the Sprint Treo 700wx by Palm. Presumably, the "x" stands for "expanded," and hopefully not "extreme."

There's even more goodies today with several pictures of the box (!) making their way to the Internets.

The Windows Mobile 5.0 Treo 700wx, again, should make its way into your local mall's Sprint kiosk on August 31.
