GameStop's Black Friday Ad Leaked
Our friends at Kotaku managed to get their hands on the GameStop Black Friday circular and, not surprisingly, bundles are the major theme here. Some of the better deals include a .99 cent price tag for Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 (after purchase of Rock Band game or bundle over $50), Madden PSP Entertainment Pack or Ratchet and Clank Pack for $200, several Xbox 360 bundles (Arcade, Pro and Elite), the World of Warcraft Battle Chest for $20 and a host of discounts on games. GameStop Says They Have Enough Wii Consoles to Last Through Black Friday
Things may be looking up for consumers eager to get their hands on the elusive Wii console this holiday. Speaking with a GameStop exec, Game|Life learned that the company believes they have enough consoles to last all stores up to the first week of December. There have also been sightings on Amazon and various big box stores—which could mean that Nintendo has finally got control of their production problems. Even if this is true, I wouldn't push my luck and wait too long to pick one up. [Game|Life] -

Dealzmodo: Xbox Live Vision Bundle At $49
Best Buy and Gamestop are discounting the remainder of their stock of Xbox Live Vision Bundles to $49 in order to clear them out for the new Chatpad Live Bundle that's coming soon. If you still don't have a camera for Xbox Live, this is a fantastic deal to get that, 12 months of Xbox Live, two XBLA games and 200 Microsoft points. Amazon used to have this bundle for about $55-$59ish, this es muy bueno. You'll need to roll down to your local BB or Gamestop to get in on the deal, so take a shower and put on some pants. Pokemon DS Lite Hits US, Only Slightly Embarrassing to Own
The limited-edition Pokemon DS Lite was actually released in Japan back in 2006, but is just now showing up in a Gamestop ad in the US. The flashy, surprisingly mature paintjob features Dialga and Palkia, the two Pokemon—Pokemons? Pokemen?—from the Diamond and Pearl covers. It looks to come with a nice bundle, including carrying case, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DVD "special," a poster of Grovyle and a Pokemon t-shirt. I prefer the even artier Honeybee DS Lite, but if you're dying for some Poke-branding this side of the Pacific, you could do worse than pick this up for the standard $130. [GoNintendo] -

GameStop Squashes Its Bad Zune Habit
It was always strange seeing a video game retailer peddling MP3 players, but nevertheless GameStop has ceased selling Microsoft Zune portable media players. The breakup puts a small speedbump in Microsoft's path to wrest marketshare away from Apple's iPod line, and could slow the progress Zune made against Creative earlier this month. While the initial reaction might be doom-and-gloom for the Zune, the level-headed amongst us will remember that GameStop sells video games, not music players, and big box chains like Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart will continue to stock it. GameStop said it will continue to sell Zunes until stock is dry, so if you're looking for a deal you might want to stop by your local store. [The Street via Kotaku] -

Nintendo Power Contest: Wii Wheel Cost Driven Down to $9.99
Your friends still aren't worth the cost of admission to your place for a game with Nintendo's Wii Wheel, but they're getting closer now that a Nintendo Power contest rules page lists the peripheral at $9.99. [GoNintendo] -

Wii Wheel Gets $14.99 Price Tag; Your Friends Aren't Worth it
Looks like the fellows at Gamestop let the pricing for Nintendo's Wii Wheel slip, and $14.99 is the price you'll be paying for each friend you have over on Mario Kart Wii day, (April 27th.) The game will retail at $49.99, which includes one Wii Wheel to boot, but for multiplayer mayhem, you're going to have to fork out that little bit more. Friends suck...not in a good way. Jump to see a blown up shot of the flier with the figures. [Gamestop; Thanks, David W] -

Wii Fit Priced at $89.99?
A fuzzy release list image has been floating around that shows the North American version of Wii Fit priced at $89.99 with a $10 deposit. The image supposedly originates from Gamestop—but as always, it is just a rumor until an official announcement is made. [Wiicast] -

GameStop Signals the Death of the 80GB PS3
Rumors about the impending doom of the 80GB PS3 have been going on for a while now, and it appears that Gamestop will not be recieving any more 80GB shipments from here on out. This news comes only weeks after rumors that Best Buy will also be dumping the higher-end model. The bottom line: if you want a PS3 with backward compatibility, you had better get one while you still can. [Kotaku] -

Unconfirmed: Xbox 360 Core Discontinued at GameStop
Kotaku reports that they've gotten tips from their GameStop employee readers that an email got sent out telling store managers to take down any signs relating to the Xbox 360 Core version (that's the gimped, hard-drive-less model). There haven't been any reports yet of the same thing going on in other retailers, but unless this is a GameStop-only thing, it seems like the Core is going to be discontinued this holiday season in favor of either only the Premium and the Elite, or a new Core-like bundle we've yet to see. GameStop Makes a Grab at the Halo 3 Money Train With Limited Edition Accessories
Because bleeding Halo fanatics out of $130 for the Halo 3 Legendary Edition really only scratches the surface of their (parents') bank accounts, GameStop is stepping up to collect the remaining lunch money with a line of "limited edition" Halo 3 gear that drops Sept. 4: a pair of Spartan and Covenant 360 controllers and a wireless headset with a "uniquely Halo look." Rumor Smashed: Sony Did Not Raise PS3 Prices
Best Buy and Future Shop may have jacked up the price of a PS3 on our northern neighbors from C$659.99 to C$699.99, but it wasn't an ill-advised cash grab on Sony's part. An SCEC representative confirmed that Sony didn't nudge the price skywards; individual retailers made the choice to do so. I never thought I'd tell someone to buy anything at GameStop—who's maintaining the MSRP—but the PS3 makes us all do strange things. More » -

GameStop Teases Wii Fans with Bundle Details
We're still days away from the official launch date, but the folks at GameStop are showing off their online Wii bundle for the lucky few who'll get to snag one come the 19th. The $694-dollar package will get you 6 games (Zelda: Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, Red Steel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, etc), a 1GB SD Wii memory card, a second Wii controller, the console, and Wii Sports. Preorder Wii or PS3: Need Trade-Ins
This is low. Our half-man, half-Atari, 100% crazy uncles over at Kotaku got a photo tip on GameStop requiring $50 worth of trade-ins to reserve a PS3 or Wii. While not confirmed, if such is the case the console wars have reached a new low. $50 of trade-ins equals about $200 in games, according to my guesstimates. And if GameStop can't supply necessary demands at launch, it's not up to the consumer to bribe them with what is almost the entire price of the Wii for a preorder. Gamestop's Xbox 360 Broken Promises
Insider information time. A little memo is floating around the Gamestop HQ stating that upwards of 30% of the Xbox 360 preorders have yet to be completed. The memo also says that the remainder of the preorders should be filled sometime in February. Don t expect to purchase a Xbox 360 console from Gamestop in a while. The shortages being reported are easing up on the Core version of the console, but who wants that, anyway? Go big or go home. More »

Xbox Back In Stock... For A Price
If you couldn't grab one of the first Xbox 360 consoles, the good news is that 300,000 of them are arriving this week. Best Buy will have them on December 18. And GameStop already has the second wave in stock — only problem is that they are only selling bundles. The Titanium Bundle will run you $1,500 and comes with Xbox 360 Premium Pack, 15 games, Universal Media Remote, Wireless Controllers, two game guides and Xbox 360 Skin Gels. The Steel Bundle comes down a notch to $1,000 and basically includes the same thing except you only get 7 games, a wireless controller and no Universal Media Remote. Or, you could check out how much a flight to Japan would cost you and pick up an Xbox 360 for $331 as part of a Far East holiday. If you're going to spend $1,500, you may as well get to see the Imperial Palace and Shinjuku, right? More »
