isnt it good enough that they simply are not allowed to do it because apple is that way?
Well, when people bought their iPhones they knew they had to play by apple's rules, so I dont see the problem.

My battery life is ass as it is. Having this additional capability isn't going to change the fact that I have to charge the phone twice daily. Instead, it means I will be more reliant on the phone and less reluctant to switch to a more capable product.
One would assume Apple would choose otherwise.
