    I can only hope it's accompanied by a version of "flash block" for mobile versions of Firefox as well.

    why do you say: "for no good reason"?
    isnt it good enough that they simply are not allowed to do it because apple is that way?


    Well, when people bought their iPhones they knew they had to play by apple's rules, so I dont see the problem.

    Not having Flash has significantly hampered my use of the iPhone, particularly when Apple itself touts it as competition to the Netbook "craze".


    My battery life is ass as it is. Having this additional capability isn't going to change the fact that I have to charge the phone twice daily. Instead, it means I will be more reliant on the phone and less reluctant to switch to a more capable product.


    One would assume Apple would choose otherwise.

    @Joseph: I believe it was on their quarterly call, Steve indicated they won't be joining the netbook fold anytime soon and implied the iPhone was good enough for now.



    And now I'm suppose to provide the source reference but I'm too lazy but if you don't believe I won't be heartbroken.

    @Joseph: Last call, during Q&A, when Jobs said they're not interested in netbooks, but have some good ideas, and that the iPhone was really their foray. (I'm paraphrasing.)
