    for anyone like me with a super-small screen (12.1 inch...) you can right click on the task bar and change the bar to use "small icons"


    the real estate is priceless on these small screens. I NEED those few rows of pixels damnit.

    I hate to do this, but I'm merely testing whether or not Gawker has it's own bug. See, it was suggested that really long comments don't get shrunken. I shall report my finding to nobody, because they don't answer question at the report a bug site anyhow.

    I really like this...it's also really scares me. I'll wait for it to get to market then after a few months of other people trying it and the bugs that we know will need to be worked out. Then I will buy...IF it doesn't turn out to be the basterd child of Vista.

    @ripfire: Yes and No. Vista came out and was supposed to be so great but IMHO sucks because it's not compatible with a lot of programs people already have and need. ie any old Adobe Photoshop. I don't have the cash to upgrade to the programs that I have now so they can be used with Vista. To update the OS is great but when you prevent people from realistacally using it with out a considerable amount of frustration and money is bad business. I also hate hate hate the fact that if I used any Microsoft OS they get some sort of access and rights to my stuff. It's uncool and should be illegal, but it's the price you pay I guess. If they make Win7 smaller (less then 2-3GB) and more open to my own pursuasion much like a Hackintosh ;) and still able to support my old programs that I enjoy I'm in....
    ....and of course by 'old programs' i mean the ones i get for uhm really cheap. *wink*wink*

    I'm just a big fan of translucent taskbars. And with the new monitoring thumbnail setup? I'm definitely excited for this thing to get out of beta so I can ditch XP full-time, and avoid the resource-hogginess of Vista.

    @Thats Dr Bear to You: Yes, but it's only certain people, i notice it happens to the same people over and over again. I reported it as a bug, but nobody seems to want to address it. I'm thinking it's more like being smacked.

    "Having two instances of Firefox open means that if one window crashes, it won't affect the pages open in another window. (Chrome already has this built in to its tab scheme, in case you were curious.)"

    @Giolon: What I just found out recently is that I can drag a tab from one FF window to another and it will retain the session state. Pretty cool.
