hmm, and in our country, we trample on our own citizen's civil rights by spying (NSA domestic email surveillance plus god knows what else), torture terrorism suspects, refuse to provide gay people the same rights afforded to male/female couples, and we've got more nukes than anyone else in the world...let's not call the kettle black just yet.

Apathy regarding the seemingly "less bad" selective denial of rights leads only to more of the same. Give em an inch and they'll tax you a mile. So yes, what we do to gays is less bad, but that doesn't make it in any more righteous - neither should be occurring.

@Hello Mister Walrus: except was the opposition involved in the counting? Results were supposedly declared before a counting could have been logistically completed, and Ahmedinejab overwhelmingly "won" in areas culturally and ethnically tied to his opponent, the equivalent of John McCain sweeping Obama in Harlem.
