It's a nice looking machine to be sure, and that screen is pretty large for the price. I'd be much more interested in it if the screen were multi-touch though. I really think that with Windows 7 coming out there is going to be a push to touchscreen controls, and I'm not sure I'd want to invest a grand in something that will be bested by a multi-touch variant within 6 months or so.

My main concern is when the monitor goes out, you have to bring the whole thing in or ship it off for repair.

@Y2KGTP: Not just when the monitor goes out - if any component goes out, you have to repair or replace the whole thing. As appealing as the all-in-one computers are, to me it just seems to risky. Plus they're harder to upgrade so they have a shorter functional lifespan as well.

I'm skeptical of Aevratec, to be perfectly honest. The company seems to drop off the face of the Earth from time to time.

For a grand, i expected 4 gig ram, 1TB, and some other polish-based upgrades. Nice monitor though.

@Darrone: Nice monitor, yes. But all that res is wasted on Intel GMA.
