MSI Puts Air Purifier Into Smokin' PR620 Laptop

We get it, you're not going to quit. So do everyone else at the library a favor and buy MSI's PR620 laptop with built in "anion" air purifier. According to the unintentionally hilarious post at PCLaunches.com, the laptop releases 550,000 anions (aka negative ions) from its vent, "more than if you were right next to mountains and beaches." Swiss Army Jacket With Air Purifier Helps You Breathe a Little Easier

Those who have trouble with allergies (and deep pockets) may try just about anything to help alleviate their symptoms, and chances are Victorinox had these people in mind when they developed this Swiss Army Tech Vest with Air Purifier. The purifier itself is located in the left breast pocket, and it supposedly transfers purified air to the funnel collar of the jacket where it can be sucked into sensitive lungs. My guess is that this jacket is nothing more than a means of separating suffering suckers from their hard-earned cash, but I'm not willing to spend the $500 to find out if it works. Bel-Air Filtration System Uses Plants to Purify Our Environs

With more than a nod to NASA and James Dyson, French designer Mathieu Lehanneur's Bel-Air purifying system uses plants to keep the atmosphere inside your house clean from nasty pollutants. The pint-sized air-filtration system acts as a miniature greenhouse, stripping the benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene from inside your home using three natural filters. More »

Takara Tomy Air Filter for Babies Cleans Air, But Chokes You With Its Cuteness

Famed maker of awesome Takara Tomy's latest bundle of cool is a super cute air filter for babies. It's outfitted with an antibacterial filter and Sharp's "decontamination ion" purification tech (my AC in Japan actually had this too) so your offspring don't inhale all the nasty, germ-y stuff floating around your house. It's about $150 (17,640 yen), so it's kind of pricey, but it's smaller (115x80x140mm) and definitely packs in more cute per square inch than most air filters. [Fuji Sankei via Tokyo Mango]

USB Air Purifier, Clock

This clock is actually labeled as a USB Digital Thermo Clock Air Purifier. Odd name, yes, but it accurately describes everything that this little USB device does. It can purify the air around you (probably not much, though), and tell you the time, temperature and date all while glowing. It is available through Brando for $36. More »

Temperature, Time and USB Air Purifier, All In One

The casual observer would never suspect that we've seen an unusually high number of USB powered air purifiers in these parts, where there have been units for the office, for the car, and even for the soul, but now the USB air purifier has been teamed up with the digital temperature alarm clock, in a package that seems to be specifically geared toward slackers from the disco area who tend to fall asleep at their desks.
