@sir_eccles: I concur... the appeal of the Roku is the low cost for lots of content. The movie selection is not as crappy as people make it out to be, and there is a plethora of documentaries, science and nature shows as well. To @VincentioSnipe, the appeal of the Roku is not new movies. One quick look into the product and a consumer knows that. It fills its niche quite nicely.
If you have a Roku you're already getting at least one DVD per month from Netflix, so to me it doens't make sense to pay so much for Amazon's content via the Roku. With no internal storage in the Roku, I certainly don't want to pay $15 to stream a movie I can't keep, when that's equal to the actual DVD release price.
Add that Asus HTPC Keyboard and you sir have yourself one kick ass setup.
If the Hulu thing develops into something fruitful, then that may force my hand to purchase one and then drop my cable for good. Only thing is... will this murder your bandwidth cap?

This is a little bit crazy. I'm concerned that this might be a disincentive for movie and TV studios and to put stuff on Netflix proper, now that there is a way to get the content to the same audience but make them pay for it.
That said, it absolutely kills Apple TV. Well, kinda. You never know what tomorrow may bring.
I really want to love my TiVo HD, but after almost a year I'm still having a really hard time getting into it. The UI and the various quirks here and there end up frustrating me at least once a day.
It's to the point that I don't explore beyond the "Playing Now" and live TV guides, but if Amazon and TiVo can get a good HD streaming service on the box, it'll go a long way in alleviating my frustrations.

I was even surprised to find that the youtube function is kinda entertaining even without a really easy was to enter searches.
