    one more thing i would like to add, is on android i use spanning sync to sync with ical, and address book. also works well with google sync!

    I feel as though i have to give my 2 cents. on android. I bought a G1 near its release, And yes something things it did better then iphone, But honestly iphone OS 3.0 fixed most of that.

    The iphone is ahead right now! in two years, or a year, i will decide and move on then. But i was tired of android sucking for so long, the first year was really lame, so i wanted something good now! not something with potential.

    The gmail app i miss alot, but google sync with exchange is great. and honestly im happy now, i see myself switching back to android in the not so distant future, but right now i feel like it is still a teenager and an iphone can already go to bars. #iphone

    For all you guys suffering from crappy battery life, I recommend you get a program called APNdroid, it kills your 3g and 2g connections saving you a ton of battery life. When you want to go online just click on it and everything is back to normal. I forgot what the barcode is but it is easy to find in the market. #iphone

    I use my iPhone primarily as a phone and app device -- no music/video/podcasts for me. I like the sound of Android, and if I hadn't just jumped on the 3GS with a new two year contract, I might consider it a little harder. #iphone

    No, sorry. That's not going to cut it. One of the deciding factors in my decision to get an iphone was that I would no longer need to carry an ipod/PMP.

    But.

    I have absolute faith in google and the dev community, and have no doubts that a very respectable PMP app will be available in the near future. If the demand for droid is strong enough, this will be a minor road bump.

    So, I'm still switching to droid. Bye apple. You were so charming at first. It seemed like the honeymoon would never end. Then I woke up. #iphone

    There actually is an easier way to browse the Market: [www.androlib.com]

    Before you get started, install the app Barcode Scanner from ZXing Team. AndroLib catalogs the entire Market, and each page has a QR barcode linking directly to the app in the Market. Use Barcode Scanner to scan the barcode on your monitor, tap "Open Browser" (it says browser, but it will take you to the Market) and you're on your way.

    It's a tiny bit out of the way, but it gives you desktop market browsing, and a friggin' cool, if slightly clunky, method for downloading. #iphone

    @matt buchanan: Bigger screen, more speed, and a real keyboard maybe? The bottleneck is the barcode scanner which, yeah, maybe I'm in the minority that finds that cool and not bothersome at all....but I'd happily take it for the desktop browsing experience.

    Let's not kid ourselves. Not even the iPhone is easier to browse the internet on than a real computer. #iphone

    Well, the minimalist homepage is still there for me. Stuff only shows up when I move my cursor. Ad included.

    And unless I'm mistaken (and I could be, I rarely hit the actual Google homepage), that spot typically has a link to some kind of Google service or another with a Learn More link. Only difference is this is one of the few that costs money.

    Call me crazy, but I've seen worse things. You know, like Windows coming bundled with Internet Explorer. Or baby kittens playing in a paper bag. Or happiness.
