Sealed Goldfish Keychains are a Bit More Upsetting Than Most Keychains

What's a better keychain than a dead goldfish? I mean, sure, it'll come as a live goldfish, but seeing that this is a sealed keychain, it won't be alive for long. Apparently, vendors in Qingdao, China are selling these horrifying things, with the fish surviving mere hours after being placed in their death cells. Pretty gross stuff, right there. I'll stick to my classy kewpie bondage keychain, thanks. [Weird Asia News via Geekologie]

Humans Further Exploit Squirrels With Challenging Obstacle Course

You may have winced at that squirrel catapult we showed you a couple of months ago, but here's a Rube Goldbergesque contraption that squirrels willingly navigate. Look at those little guys running the obstacle course, willing to do just about anything for their next meal. One of the ambitious rodents ran the course 20 times in one day! Don't miss the end of the video for another example of a unique squirrel/machine interface. [Vooba]

Japan's Hello Kitty Cat Humiliation System

Oh… oh my. Japan, a country that never fails to blow my mind, has just seen the release of, according to Google's hilariously inept machine translation, the "Hello Kitty transformation set." It's basically a hat, bib, collar and carrying bag to turn your cat into the saddest, most ridiculous-looking cat on the block. Below, you'll find a gallery of cats with no dignity. After the jump, you'll find examples of perhaps the greatest machine translation I have ever seen, and I'm not exaggerating. You're gonna want to see this. Thanks again for the comedy gold, Japan!
