It's not polite to name names of good programs for "backing up" your media. It just gives them more creditability and basically paints a target on them for the RIAA/MPAA to shoot for.
@OMG! Ponies!: How is it going to be obsolete? It's certainly not going to be overtaken by downloads in America, land of the download cap. Besides that, downloadable movies have a long ways to go before they can even compete with the quality of Blu-ray.
@remo2112: Not to mention the quality of some of those DLs, like I want to see Mr. Smith get up from the front row to get more popcorn because the giant sized tub he had wasn't enough popcorn in the first place! And this I get to see at home! I just wasted 4 days copying that off of bit-torrent and for what I tell you, where is my AC-3? Do they do AC-3 DL movies?
@Alex Van Duyn: "...like I want to see Mr. Smith get up from the front row to get more popcorn because..."
This has got to be a shoo-in for most uneducated post of the year. This post has more misinformation than a "Pirates steal from hard-working movie industry professionals" ad before a movie.
@hexydes: If I want to see something in Blu-Ray, with only a few exceptions, I'm not going to buy it.
I'm going to NetFlix it.
Let's not forget that the pipes are getting wider all the time. Yes, companies are capping. But soon one will realize that there's money to be had in providing data service without caps.
when will the studios or whomever just give up and realize it's impossible to keep something protected if it's in or sweaty little hands? Slysoft resides in Cyprus which is off the coast of greece, they can't be caught by copyright laws, they can crack anything and all the r&d involved in those encryptions is just wasted useless money! put it to good use idiots! Like wasting it on commercials saying, "I'm a set designer and I don't get paid if you steal movies" lol those crack me up.
@armendni: Because to the movie companies or whomever, it is worth it to them to if nothing else slow down the pirates.
I've tried searching for it, but a movie that was released earlier this year was praised by it's studio to have held off pre-releases of the movie and pirating of it for an entire week. It was heralded as a win for the studio.

A sad loss?! I work at SlySoft as a programmer.
Ha ha! Just kidding! In actuality, I don't.
Or do I???
