    Maybe if this hadn't happened during the cold- "propaganda" -war era, people wouldn't be so wary about the credibility of this event. Russia and the USA were really desperate to show which had the biggest rocket and could jack it the farthest.

    Personally, I don't believe anyone has ever reached the moon yet: even with multinational support, a simple space station in Earth's orbit is barely sustainable so I can't fathom anyone reaching the moon 40 years ago in a tuna can equipped with far less technology than a cd-player but it doesn't matter; supporters and detractors will keep fighting over this until somebody arrives there in less shadowy circumstances. #apollo17flag

    The word is "jibes," by the way. It's NOT "jives." Both words are considered slang, but they mean opposite things.

    When things "jibe," they agree. When someone "jives" you, it means they're bullsh*tting you. Especially in 1975.

    Anyone who thinks that yet more proof of already known facts is somehow going to change the minds of folks who don't believe those facts is just as insane as the "moon landing is a hoax" conspiracy theorists.

    Such is the wonderment and power of a grand conspiracy. It can never be proven or disproven because it is so big that literally everyone in the entire world could be in on it. You think one more picture is going to forever debunk it? Pffft. #apollo17flag

    If all the photos and videos and audio and rocket launches and stories from those who were there and stories from those who worked on getting those there and laser reflections and moon rocks and moon dust compiled and shown to them so far hasn't convinced them, then a couple of blurry photos of gear you can go see in the Smithsonian or footprints in dust, shown to them 40 years later, in an age where any 4chan butt-monkey can pirate Photoshop and fake it in one porn-fueled night in his mom's basement, cannot possibly convince them.

    There is no evidence of the moon landings or the 9/11 towers or the earth being round or that contrails are contrails and not chemtrails or that Evlis is, in fact, dead and not living in Tweed, Ontario that will change this because the problem is not with the evidence, the problem is within them.

    Once again, there is not a problem with the evidence. No amount or quality of evidence will ever change this. The problem is elsewhere, and there's nothing we can do about it. #apollo17flag

    Look, I love everything about the space race, and don't doubt that it happened, but this is NOT going to convince them. Maybe if a probe from another country did this, like China; but a US probe, or a US telescope, or a US anything, is not going to do it. #apollo17flag
